Alluminium wire is used in high power supply rather than copper for some reason like it is less costly than copper and in 1 kg aluminium a very long wire can be made but in 1 kg of copper the wire can be made is shorter than the alluminium wire.

Copper is the preferred wire for your home over aluminum because of its ease of use and ability to effectively conduct electricity. It is more stable, durable, and performs better than aluminum wires. Copper is known to have better Conductivity than Aluminium.

Tensile strength of copper is twice that of aluminum, which makes it ideal for electrical conductivity at home. On the other side, it is not a good choice for high voltage lines. This is because high voltage line transmissions involve lots of bending of the cable when doing installation.

🔴Aluminum is cheaper than copper and also it is light weight so they can use in outdoor. *We use copper in the house wiring because copper conduct electricity better than aluminium. Due to which power is saved so that money is also saved.* *copper has less resistance than aluminium* 🔴 *Silver is too costly so it cannot be used as wire.*

Metals are generally good conductors of electricity. The conductivity of a metal is the ability to allow electricity to pass through it. Since aluminium is a metal with low resistance and good conductivity it is used in electrical wires.

aluminium wires is not used in house wiring because Aluminium has higher resistance than copper and needs lots cross sectional area in comparison to the copper and due to the resistivity they get heated and leads to electrical fires, And also due to it's light weight, which is a very important thing for transferring high voltage power.

Copper is a preferred wiring for the our home over aluminium because it is of use and ability to effectively conduct electricity it is more stable durable performs better than aluminium wires . Cooper wire has low level of resensitivity and also good conductor of electricity. Aluminium has 61% of copper conductivity . The cross section area of an element in conductor should be 56% largest then copper to carry the same cutting the need of to increase the thickness of aluminium wire restrics it used in many appliance such as small motors and automobiles. It is also cheaper than copper.

  • @UchiaZenitsu

Because aluminium have more resistivity than copper . So copper wire is more efficient than aluminium in home affairs. In respect of over headed power supply the aluminium wires is more durable than copper and many people stole the copper wire and sell it

As the electricity passes through the wire both of them do the same work but also a heat is being generated and copper cannot withstand the heat which aluminium can.
