Good memories, I remember hearing True Value Master Mechanic commercials on the radio when I was younger. I'd like to get a set of their wrenches which by the tapered raised panel must have been made by Easco.

Same here i also remember the commercials and the flyers that came in a REAL newspaper and the older Master Mechanic Tools were fantastic also True Value Garden Tools are Super fantastic True Value sold real good quality products back in the good old days

Yeah I don’t think they’re doing to many radio ads anymore. I still hear a lot of car part store ads by me though

The Older Master Mechanic tools were the best tools when you bought a Master Mechanic Socket set the set came in a Real metal box and the Quality was fantastic .. The Ratchet in your video is really not that old as you can tell by the Quality it is not even close to the quality of the older style of Master Mechanic tools .. And yes True Value did sell the Master Mechanic Tool brand like Sears Sold the Craftsman Brand and lots of the Master Mechanic tools were made by Easco and other vendors over the years .. Also True Value Garden Tools under the name of Green Thumb which is a very High quality garden tool and they still are very well made even with today's standards .. Great Video Mr Ratchet Guy it is always interesting to see what kind of tools and brands are in your videos take care enjoy your week

I think you hit the nail on the head with your assessment grab a crapsman we ratchet I bet it it very close true value was selling those at the same time as the ee stuff hit sears I believe olympia and probably husky had similar ratchets

I worked at a ACE hardware years ago, and heard, what may be rumor, but True Value had been selling ratchets that had USA made handles, but Taiwan made anvil/pawl assemblies. Again maybe just rumor.
