MASTER Intonation on the Violin | 4 powerful & unexpected tips for violinists
Музыка
This video is for violinists who want to take their intonation to the next level!!!
This is particularly appropriate for violinists who have been playing for a few years, and are at an intermediate level or above.
Playing in tune on the violin is something we work on for years, but these are some of the best tips I have for becoming a more stable and consistent player, and making your intonation more reliable and in control.
These tips are in some ways unexpected- They have less to do with our bodies, and more to do with our minds ✨✨✨
Stay with me and stick with it!!! Because developing mental skills is half the battle when it comes to playing violin.
Enjoy!!!

I understood everything you said and it is so important for every musician to understand that everything in us and around us is connected. I believe that it's not necessarily just about learning the violin but learning, understanding and connecting to yourself. Being in a moment with yourself. Understanding you emotions and physical sensations. Keep posting these wonderful videos you seem to really know what musician is all about.

Haha thank you! ☺️
these are really good tips - thanks. that playing in a rhythm can effect intonation just makes sense. and I understand what you're getting at saying 'listen with your fingers.' I play by reading but I also enjoy picking out a melody by ear and often my fingers will just go to the right note without me thinking in advance "where do I go next?" your videos are always helpful- please make more.

Thanks so much Iggy! More coming soon :)
Very interesting. My teacher has also been giving me similar tips using different words. Another tip I’m always sticking to when practising scale is always think about the interval. Also it is good to sometimes stop and think before dropping fingers.

I subbed! And I feel good being called intermediate🥰 lol! I'm an adult who has been playing for 3 years. I have a teacher who I love but I love listening to theory from other people as well (as our lessons are not recorded)😁. Thank you for all you do!

Thanks for being here!! ☺️
Thanks for the great explanation, it will certainly help, that is if my dumb fingers would only listen to me.....The hidden unexpected tip I got out of this was using elastic bands on my shoulder rest to keep it from falling off all the time....just like I see you do.... Keep up the great videos.
