Hey Dave, love your reviews. QQ, How are these in terms of sibilance? I have the MW08 and they’re awesome but the MG20 tend to be a little piercing and sibilant. Are these or the MH40 Gen II good in avoiding piercing highs?

I also dislike that sort of screeching high and am sensitive to it, and fortunately rarely hear it. If anything, it's more a lack of detail on the high end. The MW75, however, have a clean and eminently listenable high end, with no sibilance (a word I had to look up to ensure I understood your question!)

Not sure where you got that. I definitely did not experience anything like that with these headphones.

I love my MW75 but the leather on the headband peeled off even with very careful use. Their customer service was very bad when I reached out to getting it fixed. But the CEO of the company is awesome. He reviewed my communication with his customer service and sent me a replacement free of cost. I'm very grateful for that kind gesture. However, unfortunately, the replacement also has the same issue. I will still say this is an amazing set of cans. I will buy it again. I just wish they addressed this structural issue. I can see the headphone used in the review will also have that issue. I can see the top front leather not firmly in place on the headband. How is the leather on MH40?

That's really interesting. Do you wear a particular hair gel or similar that might adversely interact with the leather? The MH40 is a similar material.

I am almost half bald on the top of my head hahaha..I absolutely love this brand but it's unfortunate that both headphones had the same issue...I have other headphones (Sony, Bose etc.) and they don't have the same issue. I truly believe it's a design issue...how long has it been for you since you bought the MW75?

Ahhh, that would explain it. Odd. I actually tend to use earbuds more than headphones on a daily basis because I wear glasses while I'm working, so...

With that much gear, what are you looking for out of the M&D headphones?

I'm cautious, I bought the M&D wireless earbuds a few years back for $345 and after 8 mths or so they crapped their pants and customer service treated me like a leper. I do like the wired Leica .95 on ear head phones I've had for 4 years though. So I would like to give M&D another chance but I'm leaning towards the AirPods Max

Tough call, they're both really nice. I would say that the new MH40 might be a better option simply because they're more affordable, but if that's not a factor, then MW75s are pretty sweet.

That's hard to say because the first gen really has excellent sound. But various other aspects are updated on them too...

I bought these a few months back. I was extremely underwhelmed by the sound quality. I had to send them back

I agree. For the price, I believed they would knock my socks off. I have not been impressed
