This scene should be there not only for the awareness but also for charu's belief on JD's honesty and justice for woman and can give justice to those kids and adolescents at Juvenile Detention Center. This scene should strengthen JD's honesty and justice though alcoholic.

if this were a charu's belief means then it would have been leads to big black mark for that movie because in whole movie he doesn't even like to hear anyone advice kind of a guy but in this scene he adviced to the professor then there will be a question raise if he didn't listen anyone advice then why should advice others may be that's the reason they deleted this.

The exhibition JD(Vijay) was referring to was the "What were you wearing?" art exhibition. The aim of this exhibition was to dispel the myths on sexual assault. It was primarily done to educate people that the kind of women's clothing has nothing to do with sexual assault. This was conducted in different parts of America and also in different universities there. The exhibition displays different clothing worn by females(who were rape survivors) of different age groups when they were raped. Each dress had a story to tell. We could also show solidarity for rape survivors here by organising such exhibitions in various parts of India and also promote awareness through this.
