I have to do a major decluttering in my closet as far as clothing and shoes. I keep getting rid of things but with out shopping it somehow keeps growing. I am going to finally do my closet and Elise’s closet during social distancing. Thanks for the thread up info! Excited! Video to come!

OMG I thought I was the only one to organize a closet. The hangers are the best around! I had friends look in my closet and could not believe I had my clothes so organize. 😂🤣😊 Thanks for sharing your closet ❤❤❤

Such good advice, Jen! Your closet is so beautiful! One day I would love a walk-in master closet. The way you can customize a system to your needs and tastes just makes it your own.

I learned so much when I worked at TCS! They really trained us well and it was a huge blessing to be able to design my own space (and get an employee discount;).

I love the idea of the thred up. My plan while being stuck home was to go through all the clothes in the house and thin out what we don't need or wear anymore so I am going to try this out.

I love your closet! I agree that if I had a big closet, I’d have drawers so I could eliminate having a dresser in my bedroom. Right now we have two decent sized closets but they’re regular closets, not walk in, so they work well for shoes, hanging items, and storage on the shelf above. I do use matching bins on the shelf. It was a bit of an investment at the time but I got them on sale at Target and they’re teal and make me happy every time I open my closet, as well as making it look neat and uniform.

Oh how I covet a good master closet! We have a tiny, non walk in closet in our room. I'm envious of your space and your skill!

Yup, that was us for YEARS. I get this pain SO MUCH. I may have audibly gasped when we looked at this house and I saw the closet.

Oh man I hate my closet in my new house so much! Tons of wasted space in the corners it drives me nuts. I had the Martha Stewart system in my last house and I'm saving now to fix this one. A good system goes a long way. Thanks for sharing!

You are so organized. I try to keep all of my clothing out no matter the season. I started doing this when I went through the whole Konmari method. It is a lot though and sometimes I feel that it is just too much. I like the idea of storing away shoes that you do not wear all of the time.

Denise, there's a lot you can do with even the smallest space! When I was designing closets I loved the challenge of a tiny space but it is definitely more difficult, no question.

Great video, I have an ELFA wall closet system as well and I was trying to figure out how to organize scarves and hats and those bins will be fantastic, so thank you. What would you suggest, from The Container Store, that I can use to hang up a number of pocket books and tote bags? Dressy ones, not reusable shopping bags. Thanks

Truly, the number one thing to having a peaceful closet is only having in there what you love and use!

I liked your closet. I’ve always been curious what can you do with a small bedroom closet

Goals. It’s probably a good thing we don’t have a container store to us. We’d be in trouble. 😂

Our small town has a clothing exchange twice a year. It's a great way for families to 'share' clothes their kids have grown out of. I think it's awesome but it usually ends up with several bags of leftover clothing going to the local thrift store so that might be a bit overwhelming for them too. And of course if you take some but then bring some back, it doesn't really help the closet organization goal 🤣

I also am married to a slob! I know what your talking about girl! He has this one room cause we do not share closets or bathrooms. It is the secret to keeping us married for 16 years. 😂

I have developed SO MANY coping systems so we can live together peacefully! Still fight about it sometimes, but not nearly as much as we used to. Just past year 30 so maybe by 40 we will have it figured out? LOL! Hope you're doing well!

I love that you talked about having stuff for a funeral. So many people don’t have appropriate clothes for a funeral. I’ve only had two family members die from illness. Most have died suddenly from car accidents or heart attacks. It isn’t always easy to buy funeral appropriate clothes. Example: My dad died Aug 7, 2012. I didn’t have a pair of black dress pants, a black dress, or a black skirt. Any idea how hard it is to find those in the middle of summer? Now consider I’m plus size and have a very limited number of stores that sell my size. It was very difficult.

Since we've been forced to stay home, I am looking at Home projects. My daughter just wants to chill with her friends, I"m like No. I'm not saying she can't see her friends, it's just it's not going to be time without us at least getting something done.
