"Master Class" Sound with Mark Levinson - SoundStage! Talks (July 2020)
Mark Levinson founded Mark Levinson Audio Systems in 1972, which he ran until 1980. Subsequently, he founded Cello (1984), Red Rose Music (1999), and, most recently, Daniel Hertz (2007). Daniel Hertz, which based in Switzerland, produces speakers, amplifiers, and a software-based music-processing tool called Master Class, which purports to change digital music files so they sound more like they are being played back from studio-based analog tape. Master Class is the subject of this "SoundStage! Talks" episode, with Edgar digging into what it is and how it works.

Where is the VST plugin?
The Daniel Herz website give sample to hear the difference. Make your own opinion. But for me it must work on the fly, I'm a Quboz user.
How does one buy Masterclass?? Does it work with flac files?

You have to be invited to buy it, it's $700, only works on Mac, and no flac support. Enjoy.

Just go to DanielHertz.com and buy it. It’s Mac only, so no FLAC. But FLAC is easily converted to aiff or ALAC
It’s frustrating to see what I thought was a reputable publication allow someone to get away with making such ridiculously erroneous claims. Come on SoundStage-have more integrity and do better.
Lawdy! Somebody got to tell Levinson that Mac users don't even listen to music. The man is out of touch in Cloud Cuckoo Cuckoo Land. Say Hi to Howard Hughes for us and check your microbes at the door!

Digital is digital, brick construction will always have gaps. Just sayin'
Just screams scam to me on so many levels, just don't know where to start. Hope to be wrong, though.
