Like everyone here I've been so worried about you and Nala over the last few weeks and so looking forward to seeing you and the wee one again -

You are such a good daddy - you spent all your time nursing Nala instead of putting KZread videos together. Kudos to you, Dean. Nala found the best dad in the word. And to think that someone just threw her away. It was actually the best thing that could have possibly happened to her. Thank you for caring for our girl. She is loved by so many.

I'm glad you and Nala are safe back North of the Boarder, what with all that's happening in the world at the moment. Maybe a van during your winter travels would be a good idea when you are not holed up for the bad weather periods in winter. Staying safe is the main thing.

@@conceptalfa Dean and Nala headed back to his home in Scotland in the van due to Dean’s knee issues and him wanting to give his knees a rest, and to have work done on the Bike. Shortly thereafter Nala got very sick but bloodwork, X-rays and scans showed no reason for sickness. Anyway of course Dean was very very concerned. But now Nala is on the mends and he’s just now had the time to upload this video. It is a few weeks or maybe a month old. I’m sure there’s more updated ones coming in the near future..

So happy to see you and hopefully a very healthy Nala back.

They've been so unfairly portrayed for way too long. I've had them all my life and seeing the love I am all too familiar with played out through you two? Priceless! That's because Nala got really sick when they got home to Scotland. They don't know what it was but she was dehydrated and wasn't eating. She's on the mend now, but needs to put some weight back on, so Dean's been busy nursing her, trying to make sure she gets her liquids and stuff. You should follow them on Instagram if you are able, you get updates on there if they aren't able to post videos.

Hailstones, lightning & the rain - ingredients of danger. Just glad that you & Nala emerged from it safe & sound. And it's always good to check back on the family - they'll be always be concerned for their son/grandson is out there somewhere with his best friend a cat - is he safe & healthy? Nala is a happy wanderer and a very loyal guard-cat. Wonderful. (Our cats are very afraid of loud noises - unlike Nala.) Thumbs up.

Hey Dean and Nala, Just thought about this when thinking of Nala's illness and googled... Giardiasis can be an important cause of diarrhea in animals and humans. However, many cats are infected without developing clinical signs or the diarrhea is treated as 'non-specific'. Giardia infections in cats are undoubtedly more common than recognized or diagnosed.

My cat has had it a couple of times and it is quite nasty. She was very sick. Wouldn't be too surprised if it was since Nala is outside most of the time. Who knows though. Just glad she is finally on the mend.

After Italy Dean and Nala headed to Spain and then back to Scotland, where they actually are (and Nala got sick). I’m so happy Nala seems recovered now. Dean you are one tough guy. I am always amazed at how you manage when the bike tour gets difficult. And Nala the protector, so cute when she went right for the dog. Put him in his place right away. So happy you and Nala are now safe at home and that Nala is healthy again. That was a scary time when she got sick. Wishing you both health and safe trips.

It's been a while since l saw Dean and Nala. I am pleased to see they are both doing fine. It seems that storms are not ideal for camping but all is well that ends well.

Haha 🤣🤣 Nala's tail looked like a giant pine cone!! Good girl protecting Daddy. Dean, you must be pretty important to have your own security detail. Albeit, a furry one 😉

I'm so happy that Nala is feeling better. One thing to watch out for, sometimes people put out poison for mice and it's not uncommon for it to then harm animals that eat them, like owls or cats. Hopefully Nala didn't run across a tainted mouse on one of her explorations. Hopefully it was just a touch of a stomach bug and nothing worse. Our Nala has lots of well wishes coming her way!

You and Nala have been missed! Hope everything turns out okay.

That video put a smile on my face for the entire length of it and a huge guffaw when your Gran said she loved you and made that wonderful laughing sound! I loved it when Nala defended you from that Husky and then kept her tail fluffed up for so long! What a scary time going through that storm standing outside! You made my day Mr. Dean! Nala is such a sweetheart. Even hitting a dog in the face,she's not very aggressive. The last time a dog came in my cats face he left with some nails stuck in his head!!

Shes got the Cutest and loudest meow 💜

Nala loudly letting Dean know he missed her dinner by a wee bit was so cute, and her contented eye squints after was perfect. Glad you two made it thru the storm ok. Once in my youth I waited out hailstones in a sturdy lean-to I had built, used to love primitive camping like that often, even then it was unsettling, I still slept with one eye open most of the night

Fearless Nala leaps right out front to answer the challenge. A cat with balls never mind the gender.

Nala's best defence against a dog is her claws. All dogs fear being swiped by a cat's claw at its most sensitive part - the nose.

Dean and Nala went home to Dunbar to visit family after Italy because Russian war has made it impossible for them to continue on planned route. Shortly after getting home, Nala became deathly ill . It was very bad but she finally recovered. You can follow that storyline on their Instagram account. I lost sleep on this one, I was so worried. 😔

@@petesig93 I know that he mentioned in the IG posts that they weren't able to keep going because of the war activity but he was already planning on going home to see his Gran and celebrate his birthday anyway. He was home about 10 days ago and a few days later Nala became very ill. I was worried, so started checking his other social media accounts. He's been posting to IG about every day or so updating on her condition which was very bad at first. However, he posted yesterday that she's through the worst of it and getting better although she lost a lot of weight. He gives more details and pix on Instagram. 👍

Hopefully you are recovering well. You and Nala are very important to so many around the world. We need you both to be healthy as we rely upon your wonderful videos to brighten our days. Dean saw hail coming down, and he didn’t hesitate to grab Nala and get them both to safety. He left his bike, his tent, his passport, any money he had, he took his cat. Stuff can be replaced, people (and pets) can’t be. Even important stuff like passports, you can get another passport, you can’t get another Nala

I'm so glad you're back. I missed you both. Was Nala ill? I ll pray you both stay healthy and safe !

To the best of my knowledge they are both still in Scotland. Dean is still bothered by his knee, but more importantly to Dean, Nala is recovering from an as yet unspecified illness. In VLOG#84's comments, @snakychip was providing updates. This is how I came by this information. I think once Nala was out of danger, Dean felt like uploading their last Italy VLOG. When your bestest friend and family member is so sick nothing else matters but helping them. God bless Dean for being Nala's protector, Dad and saviour.

@@kenkesler3087 yes, thanks to @snakychip I was reassured to hear they were back to Scotland and that Nala was recovering from serious health issues. And Dean had some knee problems too. So this video of the thunderstorm in Rome was made before they went home and only posted now because Dean must’ve been very busy taking care of Nala who was his priority. I’m so relieved to hear that they are well now and safe and send them lots of love.❤️💖💞

So glad you are both ok glad that you decide to go home for a rest with nala you need family and freinds and scotland is a beautiful place god bless you bothx
