MASSIVE HOSPITAL SEWER CLOG! BABY WIPES - Ep. 58 Drain Pros

Ойын-сауық

MASSIVE HOSPITAL SEWER CLOG! BABY WIPES - Ep. 58 Drain Pros
In this video we had a late call come in from a local hospital that the sewer main leaving the building was fully backed up and had lifted/unseated the man hole cover. After arriving we found the man hole had blow out and was filled with thousands of baby/adult wipes. We blocked off the road with cones to hydro scrub back to the man hole with 4000 psi of water for a few hours before the clog finally released and allowed thousands of gallons of sewer to free flow into the city sewer. I love when people argue with me that wipes are flushable and don't cause clogs, it makes me laugh. Glad we were able to get the hospital back up and running clearing the sewer blockage!

I was taught only flush the three P’s: poop, pee, and paper If you flush feminine care products and wipes you should be forced to clean out a backed up sewer line. Same goes for those who put grease down drains.

Where I live my whole town got a compete overhaul of the sanitary sewer system. We have a hospital. When they did the new line from there, they installed what looks like a vault style sewer. @khamsinshamal7988

    3 жыл бұрын

Spencer Wilton Good point. DrainPro is probably right about the embarrassment issue and you also have maybe limited movement after surgeries and so on. But watching this unclogging, it struck me that the hospital has a responsibility for health and safety. I mean, there sure were tissues and crap in that clog which should not have entered any public system due to the bacteria and other nastiness they might contain. So the incinerator (with high enough temperature to destroy whatever is thrown at it) idea is not a bad idea. On the contrary - they could even construct it so that it contributes to the general heating, heating of water or similar.

  • @lexiwagner4541

Maybe the laws are different in Australia, or maybe it's because Ratty is such a strict supervisor, but I don't think Ollie would have let all that trash go down to the City. I've watched DA enough to know that he would have scooped out as much of that trash floating in the first manhole as possible before he jetted. He probably would have had a strainer basket at the exit of the 8" pipe in manhole 2 so he could catch the trash already in the pipe and toss it in the bin where it belongs. Finally, I'm betting he would have jetted the line heading to the city sewer as well just to make sure it was all good.

I watched this video whilst eating. So satisfying. Oh dear God. I can smell it. Smells like money! This could also work on another level. The man jetting out these drains is probably immune to *everything* He may be the key to vaccines for diseases we haven't even heard of yet. We need to take care of this man.
