Dude, the way you just nailed 9 sketchbook pages and made them so gorgeous with full body poses and 10 star outfits! 😩🧡✨ this is so inspirational and I LOVE HADIYA’S OUTFIT! She has a similar fashion sense to my younger sister and I feel like the length of her dress and hijab style are perfect :D👌🏼

As someone who also uses sticky notes in their sketchbook (which might be your fault) I highly recommend mini glue sticks! I used to use tape but the sticky notes kept peeling up.

I love how Mable gives me futuristic flight attendant vibes, but I love it and it works for her. All your characters looks so cool even if you didn't change them I would still be interested in their backstories.

When you mentioned your character Sawyer being Filipino, I immediately thought of my grandma and her accent, and now I can't imagine him without one too

I feel like my fave is Rory because I really like how you kept her vibe while absolutely changing her design. Also not the only one who seems to have some sort of a theme and consistent part of a outfit.

I needed this vid, I haven't been drawing lately so listening to you made me wanna grab my new sketchbook and draw for a bit. Ugh what you said about shoes is such a mood. I only draw like 3 different kinds, a basic sneaker, a few of my characters have boots, and one character wears like flip flops or sandals . I really need to start doing studies or something some time but I tend to get bored pretty quick and just give up ^^'

I have also fallen deep deep into the hole of black turtle necks. 😔 Every single character I draw now has a turtle neck. Every time I try to do a different kind of neck it just looks to just WRONG AGHHHHH. Why.

I'm not gonna lie I really REALLY like Sawyer's design here. I wasn't sure about it before but I think it was ponytail that did it haha.

Super late, but this gives me a lot of inspo :) I made my main cast of characters when I was not very good at character design and I kinda hate their designs now, but I’ve gotten so attached to them that I haven’t brought myself to change them. HEY! for outfit inspo, especially for a more futuristic style, I HIGHLY suggest Kpop as an example, especially the groups that have a more modern style. for girl groups you might want to look at aespa, blackpink, itzy, and for boy groups, bts during the 'On' and the 'Blood sweat and tears' era, then there's also Exo, Txt. hopes this helps, if you see this :D

I find that Frankensteining lots of photo references can help with nailing race based facial features. I especially struggle with eye folds, they make all my characters look white 🥲
