In case anyone didn't know, Geoff Barrow the brains behind Portishead was first a studio tech for Massive Attack, when he was still a teenager. He recorded a demo of "Sour Times" using leftover studio time that Massive Attack had paid for. The fuzzy distortion of "Roads" isn't digital, he recorded the tracks on vinyl then rode over them with his skateboard.

This makes me very emotional. Both of these songs always kinda went together in my head, at least in a playlist. These are both of my mom's favorite tracks, and this is the ultimate song to remind me of her. It's like... her theme almost. When it's 4:30AM Sunday morning, feeling shitted off with everyone, drunk and blazed asf loving your own world; content, happy, at one, in love, alive. Love IS a verb. It's a curse. It's a blessing. Feelin the love, to whoever mixed this. Just been to Bristol, England exploring where Massive Attack began. Just discovered Potishead again the last month. Praise you for this remix, from this moment, shit's electric. Always will be. Stay alive. Stay electric. TL;DR: my soul, my heart, my head, my existence cannot handle this remix. Magic is real and sounds like this.

I can't claim credit for this, so credit to my sister who said "The most trip hop song to ever trip hop." and she's 100% right.
