YES, an amazing collection, especially sealed. As you say, the key thing here is there are many well known albums you filled through, but you only see CD copies available as the vinyls versions were pressed in lower & lower numbers during the 80s, sure to CDs. So to see a copy on LP is just amazing.

Wishing you were local to me… I would be buying about 100 or more of those in a heartbeat. There’s a few in there that I’ve spent years trying to find out-of-print, clean copies of.

Wow, what an amazing collection! He was into everything. Looking forward to seeing more of his Beatles and Queen. Did he have any obscure 70’s rock like T2, May Blitz, Hard Stuff, Toad, Aphrodite‘s child? Possibly Vertigo labels as well?

This guy had the same taste as i do - even the uk 12inchers. Some of these are common sealed cutouts, but most are amazing to see sealed. Ive been collecting forever, so i know exact titles that are common to see still sealed. im an old guy, whos been collecting since 83, and bumped it up in the 90s, when most people went cd and abandoned vinyl. The 90s were the greatest time to collect vinyl,, cause the stuff was still new enough to be in good shape, and it was free or ridiculously cheap. If only i had lived in a house, instead of a tiny studio apt in the 90s, i could have bought more.

Waiting for you to load these into Discogs, I'm interested in the 12" singles from The Cult, Love And Rockets, and so many more! The only thing I worry about is possible warping since they have been sealed for such a long time. But, hey this is a fantastic collection!

I been collecting Records since I was 8 years old. I'm pretty sure this was not someones collection but more likely a Record Store that went out of business. I'd guess around 1990 due to the C.D. boom at the time. This stuff looks like a lot of the stuff id see in the late 80's and I see a lot of marked down prices probably due to C.D. There is one thing I have not seen in a long time. What is the name of that Motorhead album with the deep sea diver on it ? It was probably a bootleg or unofficial Compilation.

Looks like he was already selling them, prices written in sharpie on the shrink?. Perhaps he was a dealer, did record shows etc. Good luck with it all.

It was common in the 1980's for Record Stores such as Mister Sound to write the prices on the shrink. The previous owner was strictly a collector.

Cd´s only took over in early 90´s before one would pay half for a record and cds had not a equal sound ,some songs had missed sounds or just recorded so low that one would have to listen real loud to hear a guitar that in records had a high sound level ,the main problems with cds ,a steril sound, for some who never had a aceptable record player(from technics less than what today is 100€ ) was a improvement but in the 80´s only for rich people and cds were diferent from today ,the material was more expensive and harder to get skiped songs, i have cds from the 80´s washed in a kitchen and none is skipping if i did the same to 90´s cds none would play, but only bought 7 cds till 93 ,but had around 50 at home to hear from friends and my father had them and i would go to his house to get them

i have the doble Lp showed from sex Pistols as the ex-pistols E.P. in 78 rpm size, after the second bass player ,Sid Vicious death. Some complain about 80´s music but there never was a decade with so many labels releasing lot´s of diferent good music as alternative labels were selling a lot when alternative meaned alternative, mainstream music was a bit strange ,some independent label´s bands make it to the top but dozens of good bands don´t appear in 80´s compilations who only have 10% of the most heard music, that only the ones who just listen to the Radio know them like "top ten" bands like Modern Talking , Scotch, Sandra and the still together Ah-Ah , Madona , Bros ,between many others who were hit bands, maybe only some had a interesting song .
