Bought a MSU 500 from Tractor Supply. Took it to our farm in the mountains of WV. Found out the hard ay that there is a reverse speed limiter so you cant back up a steep incline. Once figured out how to circumvent this, loved the machine. Used it to haul loads of firewood and deer. Great traction and power in low gear. Had to raise cab roof due to me hitting my head on it. Also removed "oh shoot handle" from side of seat for more room and ease of entry and exit. Took off half doors too for same reason. I am 6'2" and weigh 250lbs and I have no trouble fitting in it now. Had to improvise a little to install gun rack but trial and error got it done. I have only put 70 miles on it but almost all in 4 WD with diffs locked. Those clay roads there are hard to scale when wet. I also liked the engine braking feature in low range for going down steep hills. Saves on brakes. My ranger does not have that feature. So far happy with it.

had one for 2 years. starts, runs strong, cant get it stuck. the cons are the rubber latches for hood and door stops rot quick. worth every penny. can tow a 1000 lb jetski a few miles to boat launch with ease

I have the Massimo 500. I bought it June 2017 and have had no problems with it, so far, except the fuel gauge worked when I bought it, but has not worked since after the first week or two. I can't find out where the fuse is for it. I found the fuse box under the hood and all those fuses were good. I drive it nearly every day on my 15 acres and except for the fuel gauge, have had no problems. I have some pretty steep hills and if I don't get a running start, I have to shift to low gear, but it will climb any hill on my property. Anyone have any suggestions about the fuel gauge?

I have had my Massimo for about 3 years. It has been in the shop for 8 months of those 3 years and now it won't start. I would not recommend this vehicle. I like it when it runs, but not so much when it doesn't. First time in the shop the winch was disconnected because it fried the wiring, so it is of no use. I only used it a few times before it just started doing its own thing rewind. when I tried to unwind, etc. Fianlly it just burned up the wiring to the battery.

30 day money back, 6 month warranty. If you failed to return it that's your problem and you can be internet mad till the end of time. Massimo has some quality control issues but that doesn't equate to terrible equipment. Our first one had obvious wiring harness issues, Tractor supply made it right. Now your rant a few post's above says week 2,week 4. Obviously you're a dumbass cause you didn't load it back up at week 2 and make tractor supply give you a new one. Sucker's born every minute.

I just bought one from tractor supply. 5 days ago. Had it out on Florida trail for the first time Saturday. It got stuck in sand. I had to get out and push. Note: The tires did not spin. It didn't have enough power to spin the tires! It was embarrassing. $8,000 ride that won't go through sand. I'll be on the phone with customer service first thing tomorrow morning.

Looks good. Wait till you need warranty. They stinks. On a 5 month old side by side theywant you to drag it 45miles each way to have two rubber straps put on. A whole set of straps only 15.00 so burn 65.00 fuel. Make sense. Buy à better brand. Pay more and get service.👎👎👎👎👎

DO NOT buy anything from Massimo. I bought a Massimo UTV last Christmas and it's been in the shop or sitting in the garage 90% of the time. My neighbor bought one at the same time and he's had worse luck with his. It has been sent back to the factory for repair. These things are JUNK! You have been warned!!

That's why you take it back to Tractor Supply within 30 days for a return. We had the same luck, MSU 500 was a lemon from the start, never ran right, fouled plugs constantly. It wound up at the authorized repair shop where it stayed for 5 weeks and they along with Massimo couldn't figure it out but narrowed it down to the wiring harness. Long story short as far as I know it's still there at the repair shop while Tractor Supply gave us a brand new one no questions asked. The new one is perfectly fine and is a nice machine and runs perfect no issues at all. While we also felt the same way you did before Customer service did the right thing we also realize Lemons happen. I'd buy another one with all these features in a heartbeat for $8000 versus a $12000-$20000 machine.

Don't buy it!!!! I have the 700 and it is the biggest piece of junk on the market!! I have had nothing but trouble! 3 clutches, rear drive axle, etc, etc, etc......You can't buy parts for it, even their own "certified" service shops don't won't to work on them. Massimo will not return your call or even their certified tech's calls. The last time mine was in the shop, it was there for 6 months, because the Tech couldn't get Massimo to ship the parts or return his call. We live on a farm, we don't treat it harshly, just haul chainsaws, parts, run back and forth from the fields, etc...

Hi Bryan, my name is Rudy.I have a Massimo 700 bought at tractor supply. You hit the nail on the head when you said they are junk and nothing but trouble. But I`m stuck with it so I was just wondering if you could help me out.Let me give you a quick run down, Week2 blowing white smoke because of cracked cylinder head had it repaired by warranty machanic ever since starts real hard like it has way to much compression, week 4 just shut off no fuel had it repaired burnt wiring harness. I installed a bypass starter relay seemed to help in starting. Now i`m going up a small incline and the wheels started slipping and a slight banging noise (not good) in the front of the engine by bottom of trans. Was told it was the rear drive shaft took it apart only to find out that was not the problem.I have both front and rear drive shafts out.when I turn the yokes by hand they spin freely but when I start the motor and put it in gear I get a grinding noise like a gear is stripped ,When I put it in neutral and shut off the machine and try to turn the yokes there is resistence for a few turns like something is binding. My question is have you ever incountered this problem.I just can`t seem to get answers from anybody and no one wants to work on it.I`m a pretty good wrench I work on all my own equipment, Was just wondering if you had any information on this.Oh ya this machine has very little hours on it and its not abused at all.Any help you can give on this problem would be appreciated. Thanks : Rudy
