MASS EFFECT: The Devastating First Contact War (Lore)
Though the event was chronicled, we never actually personally see how humanity's First Contact with alien life in the Mass Effect universe first hand, and how that monumental event evolved into the First Contact War. Still, the event has had ripples that effect even the main story of the Mass Effect trilogy, but what exactly happened during the First Contact War? Mass Effect is a 2007 action role-playing video game developed by BioWare. It is the first game in the Mass Effect series and takes place within the Milky Way galaxy in the year 2183, where civilization is threatened by a highly advanced machine race known as the Reapers. The player assumes the role of Commander Shepard, an elite human soldier who must stop a rogue agent from carrying out the Reapers' galactic invasion. The Legendary Edition is a compilation of the video games in the Mass Effect trilogy, with all three games remastered with visual enhancements, technical improvements, and gameplay adjustments. Mass Effect received more extensive upgrades than its counterparts, specifically with regard to graphics, combat mechanics, vehicle handling, and loading times.

I hope the direct sequel to Mass Effect 3 deals with this secret probe nukes in Turian space.
I can imagine a movie about the first contact war from the perspective of General Williams, the only human who surrendered
I look at the Turians' scorched earth response to humanity's typical "act first, think later, feel last of all" approach to space exploration as somewhat warranted. The Turians were supposed to be the peace keepers of the galaxy, as charged by the Council. In this case, the Turians have had 15,000 years of space exploration, new about the dangers of randomly opening relays, and likely didn't have the translation ability to speak to humans (as this was first contact) in order to warn them away from their actions. That said, humans are nothing if not stubborn and indignant. They would have wanted to open the relay twice as bad once warned away anyway. How could they have warned humans of the possible danger that could've sucked all the established races into a galactic war against a newly discovered threat? It was a huge misunderstanding, yes; but, humanity waged a war against the Turians to defend their right to be stupid 🤷🏻♀️
I've heard there is a movie in the works, anyone else heard this? Could DEFINITELY be awesome if they do it right. Like let Bioware write the story lol
