I'm listening to this at midnight with my earphones in and the "oh yeah" at 8:31 scared the shit out of me! I guess because I've never heard that version of the song before I didn't expect the voice to be there, or be so high pitched. I think it made it worse that it was just in my right earphone as well, like someone was behind or next to me in my room lmao.

I see a lot of people complaining about the Reload version and I don't have an issue with it. Actually listening to it side by side, I find the new one a lot more energetic. I find that focusing on the vocals makes this track a lot better. I do agree the chorus in the original sounds better though, but the main meat of the RELOAD track sounds a lot better. I find the frog noises not as annoying as some, if anything they sort of add tension to the track itself, almost like an alarm to me. All in all, something I could vibe to. Though I didn't exactly grow up on the original, so maybe that has something to do with it.

The new Mass Destruction is growing on me. The frog synth still distracts me but it has a lot of good stuff going on for it. Second verse, Azami and LJ's overlapping chorus at the end, the guitars, less reverb, higher clarity, and Azami's sharper "Tatatata!" makes for a worthy successor of the original! Off topic, but the remastered Masters of Shadow's main synth sounds more like an alarm and seriously sounds badass.

Alright, unpopular opinion time, i actually like the frog noises, i think they add a little more energy (or something else, idk, I don't know anything about music) to Lotus Juice's part of the song, which I always thought was lacking a bit in the original, and it doesn't really overwhelm the song, in my incorrect opinion of course

Reload is a mixing issue, if they toned down the frog / fart in a bottle it wouldn’t be so distracting. Definitely a weird choice to make it so loud.

I was looking for a compilation like this with the release of Reload quickly approaching, really appreciate how much effort was put into this. The editing here is amazing and I love the smooth transitions between each version!

Agreed - the supporting vocals are noticeably off, and the Kobayashi mix is basically trying to have LJ's vocals compete with what sounds like an attempt at speed metal.

So in total there are 3 versions by Meguro (original, FES, and Reincarnation), 1 by Lotus Juice, 2 by Kobayash( Live Band and Kobayashi) and 2 by Kitajoh(Kitajoh and Reload).

Nearly 20 years and they still got it. 😎 Hell, i remember my first taste of Mass Destruction back in 2006.

Reincarnation is hands the best ost I've ever heard. I was really hoping they would use that in P3R, but I've been enjoying what I've been hearing.

Mass Destruction is for Persona what Hand In Hand is for Kingdom Hearts, meaning that it has been milked to death.
