I love how mask is so terrifying but also so childlike. Making sonic stuff and doing little tricks like time skips. Then destroying worlds with the click of a button. How his transformations to the island are terrifying as they happen, but beautiful when we see them. He's sort of like all of us. But then there are things we could never do that make him so menacing. He's not just some kid playing around and being a little mean. He talks to them, he counters Tom's atrempt to save his friends. Pietro's show isn't just an annoying event, its a man with a dream. Rebelling against him, and being punished for it. "You're not real." Is so much more *heartless* when they make it so clear they are real, they feel, they care about eachother, they get scared, they stand up and say ENOUGH. Its just that he doesn't think they can *really* do anything to him. And technically, he can get another console. But the point was to teach him a lesson. A masterpeice. This was an amazing watch.

They tried to evict him. So he had to delete the island to move to a new island. He did what all the villagers wanted, but the problem was that they didn't understand what their world was.

Went into this 100% blind and was in no way prepared for just how phenomenal this was going to be? I really like the idea of the villagers perspective of time whenever players fastforward it, really gives a whole new meaning to why some are so in shock and the fact that someone would pay so much for raymond is beyond me. The movie as as a whole really just gives new light to animal crossing. Thanks for taking the time to make this!

It was because he was rare (didnt have an amiibo card) and people liked his design honestly back then with all the turnips and online community, amassing insane amounts of bells werent too hard😅

The pain this movie addresses: 1. Absurdly long dialogues (we’re not 6 year old kids, you don’t have to explain every detail down to its core) 2. Crafting just 1 item every damn time and having to go through that long dialogue too 3. Seas bass. IDC IF YOURE A C+ AND HOW ARE YOU HERE EVERY SEASON EVERYDAY. 4. Tools breaking every 10 sec. Self explanatory 5. Fish baits are useless

This movie was such a trip, and I love how it showed off the darker side of the game and mechanic abuse through Mask Boy, although special mention to Suzy for holding that Villager Auction in the first place. And the final act was just marvelous! I hope you find that left toe, Kevin.

Once started as a short about Lolly ended up becoming a full-on-length cinematic movie with an amazing storyline and soundtrack. Every scene led to mystery and suspension leading to a climactic ending. Glad I was able to be a part of this journey halfway through. And wow, I loved that intro! With the music and overall timing, it really gave the general tone of the movie right from the start. Densle, please take a nice long vacation, cause it looks like you been working non stop for two years! Great job again.

I clicked on this video not fully knowing what I would get, since it was randomly put in my recommended. In all honesty, with a hand on my heart, this is one of the greatest Animal Crossing projects I have ever seen. The animation - so smooth, adorable and loyal to the original product yet so enchanting and unique -, the characterization of everyone, the dialogue, the music, the ambience. Truly, this is a cinematographic masterpiece in my eyes. My praises go to the creator(s) of this amazing story!

I kind of understand Mask Boy, the urge to have a wonderful 5 star island, and catching bugs villagers are pretending to catch, basically most of us are Mask Boy. (except for the arson)

When ever I watch this I just think about much I wish Animal Crossing had a more developed story like this.

I love the fact that this guy managed to fit in kevin, whom represents the pain and agony us animal crossing players have to go through. Meanwhile creating a masterpiece.

I'm so immensely impressed by how you managed to make all of the lore, gameplay, etc. of ACNH into a pretty solid storyline. Players like Mask do indeed exist, people who're never satisfied with their islands, villagers, etc. I really like the existential-horror dread vibe you went with. It makes total sense from the NPC's point of view. Fantastic job!!

HOW IS THIS PLOT SO WELL WRITTEN?? Mask Boy staying a villain having not a redemption arc is what we needed in the film industry of animation and we just got it on KZread with AMAZING GRAPHICS by Densle. All the characters being more than what they are in the game is normal for a video game movie by big industries, but were talking about youtube here. The place where people barely get recognition by people who could help them to work at some bigger company/team. So the motivation is insane. Thank you guys. (Also Kevin and Pietro are my favorite characters here)

I think people like Densle deserve the accolades of accomplishments for their hard-earned efforts... and this was done on a shoestring budget, for crying out loud! No bureaucrats, no actors with top billing... this was all the people who helped out with Densle, and a freeware 3-D program called Blender. I can't make heads or tails how use Blender, but the creator of this movie got a lot of bang for what his download gave him! I'd give him a donation if I wasn't jobless. Densle deserves a big one and a 2 T or more HDD storage unit for what it's worth.

also about Mask Boy- breaking the 4th wall to show him irl playing a game makes things very interesting! like all the players are representatives of the culture around playing New Horizons. he wasn't playing ALL that differently from the average player. bringing forward the fact that this is just someone playing a game, ignorant to the fact the characters have complex thoughts, feelings, and relationships really adds another layer to Mask Boy! just ugh- Mask Boy being the "toxic" part of NH culture (and/or a more realistic player) ((judging villagers based on appearance and holding his island to a standard of looks)) Kevin representing how it FEELS to play NH (tools constantly breaking, the pressure to get everything you need to in time, sea bass...) and Megan being the intended player (caring about their villagers despite their personalities being trash in NH)

I would pay to see this in theaters bro like this is better than some of the movies that cost billions to make. Had me cheering at work

The sheer creativity and craftsmanship that went into this film is absolutely outstanding! I was full-heartedly expecting like a "home video" style of film made inside of Animal Crossing with like the camera and visiting Harvey's island to set up stuff. So MAN was I blown away when I found out that there was legitimate animation and rendering involved! Bravo to everyone who worked on the project, from animation to writing to sound editing to so much more, you did amazing! My favorite parts were the dream sequences and live action sequences, especially when the switch overheated and blew up. Master effects right there. This really made my day, I'm truly inspired. =)

i really like how Tom was interpreted here. he isn’t an unlikeable character or a villain. he’s actually important to plot and is actually my favorite character here. i enjoy when any animal crossing project won’t do the loanshark Nook cliche. so it’s nice to see him in a different light.

Imo he's always been rather nice. He's literally giving us a house and trusting us to pay back the money HE spent on it while not having any dead line or taxes. He introduces us to the town/ game and he's there for anything. There's not a single evil or even greedy sprout in his body imo. He gives us fair responsibility without any chance to fail it. The tricky and greedy one is Redd who sells fake stuff for tons of bells, hence his theme song is the town halls' song backwards.

Nook got memed on so much that in 2002 when the game first came out he got mentioned in the "new villan" category he didn't deserve that, Redd is the one who should of got put in that category in my opinion

I clicked on this not knowing what it was... and thank god I did. This was simply amazing. I am rarely the type to sit down and watch a movie start to finish, but you better believe my ass was SAT during this. I have never seen an Animal Crossing fan project so beautifully detailed and interesting. It is clear that immense time and effort went into this production, and it shows. I enjoyed every aspect- the writing, animation, sound design, and humor were all on point. Isabelle's dream sequences were the coolest to me. The clay-mation look really made those scenes feel dreamy and distant (in a good way) from the rest of the scenes. The pacing and storytelling was wonderfully done, as well as the writing for all of the characters. Their dialogue felt very in-character despite the subject matter diverging from the canon. I could go on and on. Fantastic work- many kudos.

This entire movie has me speechless and deserves to be in a movie theater.

Mask's punishment could've been being sent to the GC version, where he cannot terraform anything and villagers will swear the shit outta him for no actual reason. You just don't fucking mess with GC villagers. Thanks for this masterpiece.

I love Tom and Isabelle’s relationship. Sure he’s her boss, but he still loves (platonically) and cares for her, the way a dad, uncle, or older brother would. The way they can be real with each other is a great way to show a great dynamic.

I rushed to make a comment as soon as I watched it all. I couldn’t look away. It was amazing. I was trying to find the words to tell the creator how good this is, but you have done it perfectly for me. I was totally drawn in by the story. The animation is amazing. I saw someone before comment about grammar in some of the speech bubbles and I thought are you kidding me? That’s just so my new to the nobody even noticed it, except for one person. Congratulations to the creator here. This was amazing and I have been showing it to all my friends and family

Filbert and Pietro in the bunk beds was too dang cute! My favourite bit out of all the episodes, is Hippeux being flung out the house as its flying through the air 😂 wonderfully written and the animation is phenomenal, well done!

35:22 the fact that the creator had the nuance of detail to slow the soundtrack in the dream, and then speed up in the real world, is so cool to me.

Words can't even come anywhere close to expressing how freaking incredible this whole movie is, there isn't a single part of it that isn't done pretty much perfectly The story, the models, the lighting, the sound design, the way you animated things, the music, everything is just pure perfection. Your talent for this is just absolutely unreal. The *_massive_* amount of time and effort you put into this movie completely shows, it is impossible to express how freaking phenomenal you did on each and every thing in it. Now take a break, you completely deserve it after putting so much time and effort into this!

I dunno, the only thing taking me out of this was the glaring spelling mistakes in the bubbles. Everything else was so high quality, it was really disappointing to see they didn't check common grammar issues.

Seeing them edited together makes this experience SO much more enjoyable. Originally, I only saw Town Meeting. Now I'm about to see the full story with some popcorn. Seriously, kudos for making this, it's such high quality

When you really think about it, it's not over. All Tom did was delay the inevitable. His switch is fried, but there's nothing stopping him on the outside from getting a new switch and taking back what's his. But honestly, I'm satisfied with what this project accomplished. You are the G.O.A.T.

It is possible though that he might be smart enough to realize the characters broke his switch and could do it again. The threat of that may save the next island from his tyranny

I came across the clip of Kevin fishing posted on FB and ended up watching this entire movie. Amazing. The existential dread sequence was chef’s kiss. So glad the villagers all found happier homes and lives. I feel bad letting villagers move out even when I don’t really like them. They always grow on me. Lmao.

God, Tom Nook’s and Isabelle’s relationship is so wholesome and really shines through !!! Brings so much character into them!

I waited a lot for making this comment but this movie is a MASTERPIECE and it needs to be published in Cinemas. I’m curious of what’s next… . Densle, you need to continue this series, absolutely!

This animation is top notch. Literally I would buy a DVD of your work if it was sold. Phenomenal story telling, immersive look into the dark side of Animal Crossing and what it really would be like for all the characters in your game. I was blown away, so glad it popped up in my feed!

Literally finished binging the series yesterday and the movie comes out today? Excellent timing ♥️

I LOVE THIS MOVIE IT SHOULD BE IN A MUSEUM THIS MOVIE IT IS SO DIFFERENT FROM NORMAL MOVIE SCRIPTS I ❤ THIS MOVIE IT DESERVES AN OSCAR

Compilation of favorite timestamps: 14:51 - “Okay, so like, he keeps catching the bugs I’m pretending to catch. Will I ever be able to not catch bugs, Nook?” made me laugh out loud. 27:31 - Villagers sitting right where you want to terraform? Too real. And right after that, poor Roald’s house getting moved right behind him? xD His reaction was so cute. 28:03 - The alley of dropped gold nuggets (clearing storage space) is way too relatable… 54:05 - This hug was so touching!! I loved the expression on Nook’s face! 1:00:15 - The palm tree blowing in the warp speed is hilarious. These little details (like the one where it’s sinking much earlier) are so well done.

Congrats on everything Densle! It was fun to relive all the shorts again. Can't wait to see what your next project will be!!

I come back and watch this at least one a month and enjoy it each time. This is honestly such an amazing fan made film

It’s videos like these that restore my faith in KZread. The amount of work put into this is unbelievable and the story is so well thought out and compelling. Well done. But. I don’t think I’ll be able to look at Isabelle the same again 😂😂😂

Great job as always, Densle! Didn’t expect to be credited as an additional writer during the credits of this masterpiece, but I’m glad that some of the ideas I suggested during the development streams made it to the finished product!

I love how the mask boy never forced quit Megan when she* was destroying the island , he was like, ok??? But why?

Tbh Kevin’s luck in catching stuff is bad, like it always breaks but his luck just suddenly increases at random times, and then right after just begins to suck again, like the part where he gets an entire whale in a little bag and blathers says “my man, did you get a whole whale in this little bag?… nice!” is hilarious, Kevin never gives up in trying to complete the museum and I kinda like Kevin, I think he’s the comic relief of this movie, honestly (At 12:20 btw)

This actually changed the way i see animal crossing as a whole, i cant stop thinking about this whenever i play, this movie is a masterpiece, the character development, the antagonist, even the side characters are amazing. my only complaints is that some side characters didnt get enough screentime, I thought something would be done with Kevin, and thats why he kept showing up but it doesnt matter, he still makes a great addition. This movies great.

Absolutely unreal. You are an animation inspiration for this. And the amount you have improved over the course of the whole series has been super cool to watch as well. I can't wait to see what you're going to come up with next!

Ty!! Honestly I'm a bit confused at Isabelle's short nightmare and why Densle added it- it doesn't seem to foreshadow anything else in the story and is Very ominous. Absolutely love it but I'm also wondering what story implications it has

This was really good at showing both point of views of both the in game character and our regular point of view like how, yes in the real world we live in the mask is just a teen that wants a great looking animal crossing island that he grineded on but he can also brag about on Instagram (even if did cheat the system like changing the time and things like that.) but in the game’s world, he would probably do… a bit of jail time if there was one, since he literally attempted to murder Petro like 2 times. But the sad thing is that petro isn’t aware that humans usually consider Him an “ugly” villager, so for a while he was just forced to sit through the chaos obliviously.

1:03:22 Man that scene is so good, the panning view over the forest fire and the lasers blasting into the sky with the hour theme in the background. Just that small scene is such a superbly beautiful mix of sound and camera work

At first I wasn’t expecting something like that, throughout the movie I was completely hypnotized and worshipped by the amount of work which seemed like you spent so much times in this project. I truly admired the way it’s been going on and this whole masterpiece.

This was 1 quintillion/10, it's so well written, love the ending, and the animation is spot on, the music fits every scene perfectly, the sound design is phenomenal, the details of the island on the loading screen has to be my favorite, and don't get me started on the character development. How is this not in theaters?!?!?!?!?! Also, Kevin feels like a puzzle piece in a finished puzzle, will there be a sequel??

I so love this! For the people who play ACNH to, pls treat your villagers with respect and even if its not ur favourite. Its not a real person but they still can be your friend❤

Blathers’ humor is perfection. Im laughing so much throughout this movie. So well done!

Fr when he said something along the lines of "dude did you catch me a bug, you know hating bugs is like my only personality trait right?" I couldn't stop chuckling.

The animation, the writing, the music...it's all so perfect and I am shocked your work is not nearly as big as it should be. There's literally nothing that I think could have been changed to make it better. It's almost frustrating that I can't find anything wrong.

i like how they are able to break the matrix and do things they normally couldn't. but an alternate ending where Mask still reigns over the island but Isabelle and maybe a few other villagers mange to escape would have been an interesting ending.

I love how mask boy isn't even a villain considering to him he was just messing around in a video game he's like sid from toy story

We're now in an golden age for animation of KZread as a whole. Truly an amazing accomplishment.
