Hi Anthony thanks for checking up. We are fine. Last couple years I have been doing so many photo trips I had to skip my KZread stuff for lack of time. Now we are stuck in South Africa and our business mostly gone away for now. We did order an R6 but it will only get to us when international travel is open as a friend is bringing it. And then we cannot see our way clear to buy an R5 or RF 100-500L at SA prices with our business so impacted. Sorry about that

Have an R6 on order but might only get delivery in Oct or Nov depending on the covid situation in South Africa :-)

Grant, thank you for your videos. I'm doing SA next year and find your videos perfect. I don't know why you've stopped producing them, but I sure hope whatever it is, gets cleared up soon. You really are a talent.

hi grant I was wondering do you think the canon 300mm 2.8 is mk1 is worth getting or not as hits half the price of the mk2 ? thanks.

Hi there, with those two lenses, there is little difference in image quality. Even AF speed is pretty similar and both of them will AF really well, even more so if you are using one of the better Canon dslr's on it. The v2 is a little bit lighter and easier to manage. The v2 has better image stabilization, but the v1 lens has good enough image stabilization. Things to look out for on the EF 300L f2.8 IS (v1) are that the IS units can fail after heavy use. At least two of my friends who are very skilled and highly-ranked wildlife photographers use the v1 EF 300 as their main lens. So I have no hesitation recommending either v1 or v2. If you do need spare parts it is possible that you might have to source v1 parts from a source other than Canon.

Hi JVE PHOTOGRAPHY, I have a 90D on pre-order so am hoping to get it in use as soon as they land in the shops. I will be comparing it to the 7D Mark 2. I will also be comparing it to the 80D and doing a setup guide on the 90D :-). Thanks for checking
