I can't understand people who criticize this car saying it's not fast enough, it's not enough sporty, it's a missed supercar... it's called GRANTURISMO, it's not a super car, it's a grand tourer, it's not meant to compete with ferrari or lamborghini, it's a sporty comfortable car

Im sure thats what maserati owners tell themselves so they could live with the fact they bought an underpowered, ancient interior and ancient technological car for 100,000+$ which depriciates for 50% in 2 years. Dont get me wrong it is a gorgeous car with a timeless design, but its a shame that maserati updates nothing and is years behind competition but is ballsy enough to still ask money that in 2020 can get you 70% of market cars.

Even tho this car is not the newest on the market I still believe it is going to be a future classic and probably one of the most beautiful masterpieces what you can buy. Also the V8's sound is legendary as well.

The Maserati in this video is not a 4.2L with 405hp, but a Granturismo S 4.7L with 440hp. The exhaust sound and also the exhaust pipes are incredibly different between a 4.2L and a 4.7L. The 4.2 have 4 exhaust pipe (2 on each side), instead di 4.7 have only 2 pipes.

You're not quite correct - the 4.7 S does have 4 exhaust tips coming from two rear boxes - one on each side. I should know - I have one 😆 In the video you can clearly see GranTurismo S on the passenger side of the dashboard so I'm wondering if, maybe the exhaust was changed (the 4.2 had the larger, single exhaust tips).

With emissions laws and everything they just can’t really make as many big na engines. I think it’s better like this, though. Environment is saved and it’s a lot more special to hear an engine like this. I heard one today and it’s incredibly exiting.

Wunderschönes Aussen Design und Wahnsinns Sound von Aussen. Ich finde nur das das Interieur (Lenkrad und Mittelkonsole) veraltet wirkt und nicht zu dem Rest des Wagens passt.

+Rafael C. Unfortunately I don't have an RS3 in reach yet. I would love to drive that car as soon as possible but neither Audi nor my partnering dealership can provide one today. But as I'm investigating of changing my S3 Sedan into a RS3 I'm very sure I will be able drive one in the next couple of month :)

Das rote Interieur gefällt mir nicht, da es mich zu sehr ans Rotlichtviertel erinnert. Ist das Lenkrad klebrig, weil sich der vorherige Fahrer nicht die Finger gewaschen hat oder weshalb muss man bei diesem Maserati (ist ja nicht mal ein S) Handschuhe tragen? Ich finde Maserati klasse und vor allem den Sound spitzenmäßig.

+BMW M3 S65B40 Well, we are looking at a car that is not only 7 years on the market but also has 100k km on the clock. Of course a modern DCT or the ZF 8-speed like in the Jaguar F-Type has a lot quicker gear shifts than this. Despite those facts I still found the 6-speed in this car to be very precise in shifting, and the delay between paddles and gear change was also pretty reliable.

Guys may i ask y something pls?? This is Granturismo with 405 hp or is Granturismo S (as i saw in the video from the interior) ?

+Tony Manolo You may:) It's a GranTurismo with 405 hp, but it has the optics, badges and exhaust system of the GT S...the owner decided to do it this way.

Although it's not the fastest car, this Maserati is my third choice after the Nissan GTR and the Mercedes C63s Coupe
