The Maserati electric scooter is one interesting piece of technology closely supervised and licensed by the Maserati brand itself. I had no idea that my next review unit will be this unique design scooter but now I want to share my thoughts and impressions with you.

* 250W Motor
* 8 inch full rubber wheels
* 36V 7.8Ah
* 20km/h max speed
* 30km max range
* front and rear suspension
All of this comes with a price of around $600 and can be yours if you choose to buy one, but is it worth it?
Well, in my opinion, the wow factor comes with the colour red, which makes the scooter stand out, like an Italian super car. This combined with good looks of the scooter makes it desirable but not right for someone like me.
I took the Maserati Electric Scooter out for a test ride and I must say it was one of the least comfortable rides, not because of the suspensions or the full rubber tyres but because of 2 important aspects:
* handlebar hight
* deck length
Being a 1.90 person it is kind of difficult to ride with a low handle bar combined with a short deck. Although this is an adult scooter, in my case, it is quite hard to picture myself having to commute daily on it.
So, all in all, in my case and people that a bit taller, i don't recommend it as it is not that comfortable to ride. As far as the battery life is concerned, it is quite off, the 30km range as they advertise it. On my commute test it took 3 bars out in a 6km long journey. So, in my case I would anticipate a 11km trip before it went out.
Another thing I didn't like is the fact that although it has bluetooth it doesn't have the possibility of modding the speed. Having no app was another disappointment as apps nowadays do so many things - turns cruise control on&off for example but most importantly locks your scooter so it doesn't get stolen.
But probably Maseratis are not among the "common brands" that thieves enjoy stealing so they decided not to go with this option.
All in all, the build quality is fair, not the best I've seen, the ride quality is decent, the speed is....well...legal, and the scooter is handsome. This are my final thoughts about the scooter.
