Excellent video! Someone mentioned this issue in a forum and without having a red card I was panicking slightly! After fitting new batteries to the spare this worked a treat 👍 Only difference being that on the newly synced fob it would only unlock from the inside. Only when outside the car would it perform both functions.

Thanks Andrew, I finally used your info to reset my spare key! The first time I tried it some months ago it didn’t work. I had already bought new batteries and still no show! Tried it with new batteries today and SUCCESS! The problem was the the first lot of batteries I bought must have been sitting on the shop shelf for years and were flat! ( I did a test on them). Thank you very much made my day!👍. I also clicked the first key until the signal light stopped flashing on the dash.

I had lost my train of thought in the video... It works for out of sync keys and for new replacement keys. 👍

This will not work for new keys, only for keys precoded with the 16 digit code or as said above for keys which have lost the sync with the alarm. For more info google 'Abacus car alarms' who can reprogram these alarms
