Keep healing Robert! We look forward to your videos. Plus I wanna go fishing with you!
Love this video! My mom was born and raised in MD and we moved to Texas when I was 11, so I started life learning how to catch, cook, and clean and eat crabs. We didn’t have a boat or the fancy gear y’all used, just a string with (usually) a piece of bologna tied to the end lol. And yes, she definitely steamed them using Old Bay seasoning. I was happy to see that the guy cleaned them the same way I was taught. Such fun going crabbing with my mom then having a “crab feast” for dinner! If there were any left, we kids cleaned and picked out the meat and she’d make crab soup for the next night’s dinner.

Im from Virginia but live in Maryland now Robert, Blue crabs will always be the best crabs to me 👍
Great video Robert! I grew-up in western-MD and was introduced to "pickin crabs" at a very young age. We typically got together with our extended family one time during each summer and had a wonderful family day of crabs, BBQ, games, and beer. However, I've never went crabbing. This video has me promising myself that next summer will not pass without me figuring out a way to go crabbing. Thanks Robert! Also, I'm praying for you and your family, and for your continued recovery. Peace

Me, too, only I learned to pick and love blue crabs in VA, which is along the DelMarVa Peninsula. Best times of my entire young life, visiting with Mom to see her whole family. I loved those crab boils and then we'd flag down the guys in the watermelon truck to get delicious watermelons for dessert. I grew up in NJ and NJ had some delicious blue crabs, too.
ive been in MD my entire life and eating crabs my entire life and ive had crabs from all over and cooked in multiple ways, Maryland Blue crabs steamed is the best you can get, no comparison.

When I was growing up in Fort Myers, Florida, we used to go down and fish for crabs with chicken Gizards on our hooks. When you see your fishing line that is loose ...getting tight, you reel it up slow and they don't let go. Already have your dip net in the water and net them and put them in your bucket.
“Get off the Xbox and into the tackle box” I love that! God bless you and your family Robert
Breeo did an awesome collaboration with the bearded butchers. Yall should do a deer hunt collaboration, let them clean the deer, and then cook it over a breeo pit. Bearded butchers rock
Hy there, guys. An elderly unable and former Hunter and fisherman sends the words of appreciation to you, your family and friends of yours. The hours of wathing help me to forget stupid thigs, illnesses and pressure round me. God bless...

My late father and Uncle vacationed at the Navy Rec center at the mouth of the PAtunxent River in MD. Crabbed all week from the dock. Great memories.

Rob true story I was allergic to shrimp, crab , and lobster for 30 years and I just found out recently that I’m no Longer Allergic to crabs or lobster’s so I’ve never experienced eaten crab the way you guys do it. I’m 58. I’m just now Beginning to enjoy them love your videos, man. Prayers for you and your family.
Great job harvesting crabs and steaming them with friends! Be safe, stay healthy, & God Bless everyone! Love the channel Robert.
I love you videos , Robert and happy to see how amazing recovery health keep going
Ahhh man I need to head to Maryland for a CRAB FEST! That has to be the best food days ever!!!
I've been a fan of your channel for years and love it more and more everyday! So thankful you're doing better! This one touched home with me being from Maryland and growing up eating crabs! I live in NC now but work for a company based in Ft. Pierce which means I spend a lot of time in Florida. Hopefully one day I'll get the chance to meet you and maybe even do some fishing! My current fishing goal is to catch a peacock bass. I've been to Southeast Florida several times and they've eluded me every time! Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your contagious and amazing positive attitude with the KZread world!
Hell yeah man, the best thing about pickin crabs is the the small talk sitting around the picnic table.
I love that you have made a recovery... I love your wife and kids ... I love your spirit and the way your energy is full of joy for what you are doing... You are my inspiration... You guys are the best😊😊😊
Awesome to see that Robert was only a couple miles away from where I live in PA! It’s such a beautiful state and people don’t give it enough credit! Would’ve loved to see him do some trout fishing up here too! Awesome video Rob!
When I was a teenager, there was a restaurant in Sabine Pass, Texas. They had all you can eat BBQ crabs. They would take the shell, lungs, guts, bottom plate, and mouth off and bury them in their own BBQ/cajun seasoning and then deep fry them. By far the best crabs I've ever had.

Wow! Its crazy to see this collab!! Good job guys!!
Rob, thanks for the intro to Breeo fire pit and grill combo. Those things are cool. Going to buy one for our family this weekend. Thanks!
Nice work PA dudes. Thanks for the MD shout outs. We really like our crab style. I'll check out Breeo tomorrow. Looks cool.
I'd love to send you a recipe to try. We steam the big ones and the smaller ones we make crab sauce/gravy. Basically split them in half, clean em, and cook them in home made pasta sauce. Take the meat out and put it into your pasta. It's so good. Also say Lanc-is-ster. People who say Land-caster are definitely not local lol
Great video, so glad I started watching you years ago they have helped me out over the years. Was glad you liked Shaws Orchard where you got your corn, the owners are fantastic people, you were literally 10 minutes from my house.
By far the coolest crabbing I've seen.
Awesome video as always bud,I would have never thought of running a trot line for crabs but now I got the idea
always the best catch and cook vlog!
My mouth watered start to finish.
Many find memories of crabbing blues in va beach with single lines and chicken legs and bringing home 2 or 3 bushel baskets of crab and the work after cooking (steamed of course) of cleaning all that crab meat. Yummm
Robert, love your channel and your passion for what you do! I grew up crabbing in the Chesapeake in the 1970s. The Annapolis region to be exact. My childhood friend and I spent our summers crabbing his dad's commercial rig in the morning and then we would work our own 2000' ft trot line in the afternoons. The best memories ever and yes, Maryland steamed crabs are the best!!!!
My favorite spot on the susquehanna and Rob drives right over it. Pretty cool
Omggggg you were so close to us 😢 we are HUGE fan glad to see you back in action and doing well❤️ Hope you enjoyed your time down here and got to ride a horse and buggy🥰
MD crabs streamed with some Obay seasoning are the best! I enjoy having my family gather together and just share good food with great conversations! You hit the nail on the head that life is about being together and having a memorable time!
Oh I love your passion and spirit! Sorry if I sounded rude! My grandfather Robert Wesley Taylor was a waterman from Tilghman Island who moved to New Orleans 18:10 over hundred years ago! But the best crab in the USA is the blue and we have so many marshes that we send them north to a restaurant near you. Enjoy and let’s agree they are the best!!
Welcome to Maryland, brother! We are the MOST serious about our crabs and our culture lol. Big love, Rob. Hope you had a great time on Bay!
As a Marylander...you know witch way I'm going. Thanks so much for visiting.Come back.
Aesome video!! great to see you in PA again! the bridge you were on that crossed the Susquehanna river is 10 minutes from out house, there is some great fishing spots in that area.
We never used a trot line or traps. We dropped a line off each pier pylon with chicken and hand pulled the lines and netted them ourselves!
Rob! Your sounding awesome!!! I'm so happy for u! Keep it up!!
I'm so glad that my favorite youtuber was in my area and got to experience one of the best thing in a Marylanders life. Great video bud. We will meet one day and do some fishing.
Man Robert! My six year old son Brayden absolutely LOVES your content! He talks and dreams about meeting you all the time. I live and grew up Amish here in Lancaster County PA so it’s great to see this video. We are planning a trip to FL for a wedding in Sept. and his first question was if he can meet you when we go. We aren’t goin to be in your area but I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting clean content that I and my three boys can enjoy!!!
Keep doing what you’re doing God bless you and your family
I live in Florida moved from Chicago, met a friend 20+ years from Maryland moved Florida. Had both boiled & steamed. Steamed #1
I’m in Pennsylvania and that’s how I’ve always cooked corn with the husk on lol
Those trot lines are genius... never saw that before!
Oh man!! Im not from MD, but my first years in the US were here and I loved it. Im currently living in NY and I wish to one day go back and make a family there. Im so happy to see the best KZreadr eating Maryland crabs!!
Rob!... You have tl try that method down home and see how it works. Can't wait to see it.
That settled my curiosity, Lancaster PA.... I went to school in Mddletown and stared at TMI from my Dorm room.
Love your videos and your brothers to Blue Gabe.. Been watching for so many years. ❤❤ Wished I lived in Florida 😢 God bless you guys 🙌🏻
I grew up in md. We used to tease people if they wanted butter. I was apple cider vinegar to dip drab meat in. I put vinegar in small bowl, scrape some of the seasoning of shell of cooked crab and put that in vinegar. Great video ! Enjoyed it.
I live in Deale, MD and though not born in MD I have fully adopted crabbing as an amazing summer/fall passtime. I swear by the steam with beer/water/vinegar, but I add a few bay leaves and some JO2 to the broth. Glad you got up to MD and were able to experience running a trot line!
Your in my neck of the woods Robert! Glad you got to enjoy some crabs, looked good!
You have been a great inspiration for everyone to cheer up
never seen crabbing like that before. thats awesome
Good video my friend. Love it keep getting better Rob ! THANK you Frank from montana......
Man I love watching these videos❤
Great video, I am about to order a custom trot line from Maryland to use here in Louisiana. Looks like a lot of fun and a great way for the whole family to get interactive like you said.
This is absolutely awesome I love crabs I crap my whole life in Texas and I'm now about to be 45 years old I absolutely love your channel I've been praying for you ever since I started watching it and since you had The strokes I look forward to watching your videos all the time I personally like my crabs pre-cleaned before I boil them in Louisiana Crab boil but that's just me and how I like them I do have friends like steamed crabs like maryland-style but I prefer mine cajun-style boiled but pre-cleaned with the shell taken off not saying that I will not eat crabs that are cooked maryland-style or that our whole lives when you cook them I will eat them like that I just prefer mine when I cook them shell off and clean and no I don't eat what they so-called the butter that's in the side of the shells the stuff that is in the middle is the guts and no thank you I would rather not
You sound great Robert. Congratulations on your recovery. Great content.
Hope you had a good time in Pennsylvania, Robert. Greetings from Scranton.
Maryland steamed crabs are what I like. I was at the Breeo shop a few weeks ago. I will buy a smokeless fire pit soon. GREAT video!
Lobster stuffed with blue crab 🦀 simply the best 😊. Yes, crab mustard eater.
I’m central Florida native mostly Gulf side. Blue grabs by hernando beach is what I grew up on and I like my grabs steamed and cleaned before hand. Skirt off, top off, and clean the gills and guts, Tony and Everglades heat when you open the lid. Garlic Cajun butter to dip
God bless Robert. It's good to see you healthy and happy again brother.
We crabbed for the first time 2 weeks ago. My oldest granddaughter stayed in the cabin that we rented. We caught 1 whole crab that was big enough that first day. We were in a campground off their docks that had a LOT of babies. My granddaughter told us that we needed to take that crab straight back cause he's our friend!!! I cooked him up to let everyone in my family get a bit of a taste, since they'd never had them. The next night, we caught 5. She caught the 1st one and the biggest. I asked her if she wanted to throw it back (like that would have happened, LOL), and she said, NO, I caught him and we're going to eat him!!!! What a difference a day makes, LOL.The last day of our trip, we bought a bushel, lol. We all LOVED crabbing and it will become a part of our lives going forward.
I tell you what it is super cool and surreal for me to see you visit Shaw's Orchards for sweet corn!! Now I am a very simple person so for me to see you visit a produce stand in the middle of nowhere probably 18 plus hours from where you are in South Florida for some PA sweet corn is really amazing!!! I love the channel and you were one of my inspirations for me to start a channel of my own!!! Come back any time!!!!!!
Also, from Lancaster PA and can never get enough steamed Maryland blue crabs!! Never tried Florida crabs so cant compare but I hope to try someday. Great video guys!!
Lovin it! I wanna see a deer meat for dinner and blue Gabe collaboration!
Lived in southern Maryland for 5 year right on the water…had 2-3 traps on the dock and steamed them every Sunday…by the end of season we were ready for oysters…we eat our crab with vinegar and old bay 🤤
Family is from St Mary's county Maryland...60 years ago you could pole around in a skiff on the grass flats and fill a bushel plus bonus soft crabs..I ate the mustard , fat out of the shell corners and what looked like intestines..Just leave the dead man , shell and eyeballs alone..Good stuff...Hey to the Price and Davis people down there... Don't forget the vinegar.
ROB!!! You were in my back yard lol yes there is horse and buggy's everywhere lol glad to see your doing well. Wish you and your family the best!
i swear, all fishermen are talented to be able to handle all that line and rarely tangle
Nothing better than a MD steamed crab. Grew up at plenty back yard cookouts with a mound of shells next to me
Finally! Robert crabbing the right way with a trot line! Great video man.
Hey Rod 100% agree "get off the Xbox and into the tacle box" I'm in South Africa, and our crabs are few, but as you know, our hunting is tops😊
I am from Chesapeake VA and we always steamed our crabs just like this with old bay on top.
I really enjoy the video Rob!!,,👍👊👊
Omg i was wanting a crab video. Freaking craving these suckers for weeks now
Great video as usual! I love my Breeo as well! Picked it up in 2020 and have loved using it ever since. I was so glad when i found them because i was looking for a made in the USA product and saw their popular competitor was made in China! It was an easy choice to buy my Breeo and would highly recommend it to anyone! Buy made in the USA!
This is why Maryland loves Lacrosse cause you can scoop crabs, lol! Crab Imperial or Flounder stuffed with crab imperial is another sweet dish! Great video gentlemen and representing Maryland and those back roads up through to PA! I am out of Hampstead/Hereford (The HZ). Trust me you are considered a friend if you are invited to a crab feast!
Keep doing your thing Robert. You have been a huge inspiration to me.
💯🎯 agree with Robert.. got to clean them before they are cooked. In NJ we clean steam or boil then garlic olive oil S&P “ garlic crabs” . We also use drop lines with a chicken thigh. They are cleaned alive in the dock. Also Old Bay overwhelms the crab flavor IMO.

Yeah.. I agree you either have to go big on the Old Bay or leave it out, That's why I go with Zatarain's and really ease up on it, love the G&EVO S&P I also throw in some shallots.

Now that is proper seasoning. Looked quite tasty. I'll always go with steamed shellfish. I always leave the corn unshucked.
