This is my 6 year old granddaughter’s favorite song. I found an old CD set of Christmas songs at Goodwill and this song was on it. Now we have to play it on the ride to school and to home. Needless to say, she and I know the words backwards and forwards.

If only they could make entertainment as innocent, light and fluffy as this (and like the 20th-century in general).

A very charming number with a great set. Mary Lou and Gail were two of the sweetest girls on the show. I'm guessing this was from around 1973.

I never heard the word "snowflake" used to describe liberals until this last election, and even then, I dislike the racial double entendre in it. To me, a snowflake will always be what it is in this song.

For those who remember the classic stop-motion animated version of "Suzy Snowflake" which has run on Chicago's WGN-TV for decades, you might be interested to know that the vocals for the video were sung by Norma Zimmer, backed up by the Norman Luboff Choir. Zimmer was Lawrence Welk's "Champagne Lady" for twenty years, starting in 1960, though she worked with Welk as early as 1956.

Gail and Mary Lou, I love you guys, but I have this feeling that if today's audiences saw this, they'd think it was corny; awful and I really don't want them to think of you that way, because I like to think of you as my friends and I love you, so watch your step; be careful. (I know this is from the 70s, but I felt like saying it anyway as though it just happened.)
