The bolt on the spindle gave out causing her wheel to not cooperate. She tried to get her wheels lined up for a good run, and then everything went wrong. The ring on the kill switch failed allowing the motor to continue to run. Mary held on for dear life and once the vehicle stopped rolling she killed the motor. GoPro ride on footage showed he pounding the wheel in frustration at the loss of her mini rod. Mary is fine she said on our initial post of the ride. She appreciates your concern.

OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A CRASH!! Thankful that Mary was checked and released by EMS and was okay. This is exactly why we have roll cages on these vehicles. I've never seen one flip completely over like that. Wow, what a ride!

Glad Mary is ok and was able to walk away!! The safety equipment did its job. 👍🏻

I was there last night. Right before this she was involved with giving away new bicycles to kids. She got out with no injuries but maybe some soreness today. She was very angry that it happened. You could see her expressions after she rolled over and after she got out.

I've other videos on this wreck. First, I hope she's ok. But, I seen the frame broken on the left side and I'm concerned about why. Anyone who has watched this sport long enough has some wild rides and accidents, but I've never seen a frame break like that. I was also wondering about the kill switch (teather) didn't kill the motor immediately. On that point I maybe missing some understanding of the motor. But have been to plenty of pulls where during inspection the teather gets tested and motor immediately quits. Again, I hope everything is ok for Mary and her family.

Ok... so I've never seen a pulling vehicle flip end over end before... never even thought that would be possible... but here we are. Yikes!

Thats why thank god they included roll cages many years ago! What is really strange for me that the engine was still running after the tractor was released from the sled. I dont know the exact safety rules in USA but in Europe the tractor engine stops immediately after the tractor gets released from the sled during a pull. Glad no one was hurt here as far as i see. Never saw a flip/rollover like that. But crashes infront of the sled in this class is not uncommon.

Omg! This was crazy! I can remember hearing about a girl that got into this sport and didn't know anything about it and nearly killed herself. I just read a comment where a girl said that some of us girls do this stuff for the attention and unfortunately its true. It gets alot of girls hurt or worse. Idk know this on the tractor and she could be a pro. Im speaking in general not her in particular. At least I hope she's not doing it for the attention because that would be stupid and would be kinda hard to have sympathy for a person that does something stupid like that.

@Traci this was a points champion regionally just the last year. She is very good. And a grandma as well. She doesn't do it for attention but the thrill she gets. She got a thrill this night!

I've seen these little tractors get out of hand before, but I've never seen one come detached from the sled and flip over like that.

The thing that gets me is even when the tractor starts bucking like that, they keep their foot in it. When it starts bucking like that you get of the throttle. It's common sense.

She is not. I told her later, just make sure any pain like fracture that doesn't manifest immediately go to the emergency room. She was up and talking and having fun with friends after the pull in the pits. Lots of crew came down for this one.

Broken differential or axle probably caused that.

There were 2 women here that had really bad accidents. They were the only ones to have anything like that happen. Im sure it was just coincidence though. Im sure there are good female pullers. Rt?

Some of us women i will admit do like the attention and tend to jump into things they probably shouldn't be jumping into yes, but so do guys. I will admit that most girls that do stuff like this is doing it for the attention more than likely. Hopefully she thinks hard about continuing to do this. 🙏

One got in a demon derby just to say she was the first girl to do it and she nearly lost her arm because she had no idea what she was doing and had her arm hanging out of the car trying to look cool and another car backed into her car and she luckily moved her arm in time but still got injured. Its 100% stupid! She learned her lesson the hard way.

We have and had a lot of women in this sport absolutely kicking ass, even in the unlimited classes. They often have a better feel for the throttle, too.
