With the opening of the Mary Anning Wing at Lyme Regis Museum in 2017, we met up with some of the museums friends and patrons to discuss what a remarkable woman Mary Anning was.
Sir David Attenborough (broadcaster and Naturalist), Tracy Chevalier (Author of 'Remarkable Creatures'), and Paddy Howe (Local Fossil Hunter) all give their thoughts on 'The Mother of Palaeontology'.

An amazing, knowledgeable, intellectual and hardworking lady who deserves credit in the discovery and study of Jurassic fossils and the pursuit of knowledge of the history of life on our planet! An inspiration for the pursuit of knoweldge no matter what your background and barriers are in life.

Intelligent and succinct, and does Mary Anning justice. (And thank you for not attaching any annoying, irrelevant background music as have many of the other video makers about her.)
By the way, numerous things have been named after her and she has many books about her,,,
Fascinating! Hope she reincarnated and came back already as an amazing scientist.
Damn, I’m an American and I’ve known about Mary for decades. Also, she never discovered any dinosaurs.
