    A stupendous collection ! Has me nose-diving into shame ! I’ve been buying Marxist literature in both paper and hardback versions since the late 1980s, and, I’d be embarrassed to reveal how paltry my collection is in comparison. I’ve noted, sadly, that thanks to online availability, amongst other causes, purchasing Marxist literature has now become prohibitively dear. Such a dreadful shame. I can still recall that days when you could pick up these texts from party stalls and used - book shops for just a few bob ( sigh ).

    Oh, for the return to the days of Moscow’s Progress Publishers ! They would accept orders for shipment to places as far afield as Tasmania or Patagonia ( post-junta ! ) for classic texts for almost nominal costs. These days, that sort of eagerness to spread the written word without regard for profit seems to be restricted to Salafi and Wahabi material from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    I'm amazed by the prolific volumes of Finnish Marxist theoreticians. Here in my country there isn't many Marxist writings, is almost impossible to get proper Marxist theory printed, and most famous political theory and history books are either from socialdemocrats or not worth reading. Do you have the intention to translate (or at least transcribe or scan) your Finnish theorists collection? Or do you know if there is currently any website where someone could read them online? I'm also quite impressed of your aesthetic section. I had always thought that Marxist philosophic discussions are quite poor/undeveloped in the aesthetic branch. We need to popularize more the aesthetic theories of Marxists (even further more in these times where entertainment industry and mass media have made pop culture and art expressions universally available to the masses). BTW, I noticed you have a lot of literature of different political trends: from reactionaries and liberals, to socialdemocrats, democratic socialists (like Orwell), Mensheviks (like Plekhanov), ML revisionists, Marxist Humanists, Western Marxists/Frankfurt School (Lukacs), even Libertarian Marxists... Is there any reason you don't have any Anarchist, Left-Communist, or Trotsky/Trotskyist (besides Lunacharsky) literature? Is it purposefully, or just purely accidental/casual? Wonderful collection nonetheless!

  • @thefinnishbolshevik2404

    @thefinnishbolshevik2404

    Жыл бұрын

    The communists need to be educated, but only the most active workers will be theoretically educated. The average workers must be taught basic things about their class interest. The average workers don't need to know philosophy, if they understand that capitalists exploit them, that the communists defend their interests etc. The Bolsheviks told the working masses "Peace, Bread and Land", "Factories to the workers, land to those to farm it".

    @@JAKEZUU Sinä et näköjään tiedä isänmaasi historiasta paljoa mitään. No, se ei yllätä. Suomen Kapitalistit vastusti Suomen itsenäistymistä ja tarvitsi Venäjän Tsaaria ja Kerenskiä. Sosialistit säätivät valtalain, jonka jälkeen heidän eduskunta hajotettiin 1917 yhteistyössä Kerenskin ja Suomen kapitalistien toimesta. Kun sisällissota alkoi niin Valkoiset lupasivat että jos Saksa auttaa tappamaan Suomen punaiset työläiset ja torpparit niin Suomeen tulee hallitsemaan Saksalainen kuningas (Friedrich Karl von Hesse). Hän olikin Suomen kuningas kunnes Saksa hävisi ensimmäisen maailmansodan. Valkoisten aseelliset johtajat oli Saksan Keisarin agentteja (Jääkäreitä) ja entisiä Tsaarin upseereja kuten Mannerheim, joiden työ oli ollut Tsaarin vallan pönkittäminen ja Suomen alistaminen. Sen jälkeen Suomen kapitalistit ovat myyneet Suomen Hitlerille, USA:lle ja EU:lle.
