Marvin Gaye - “what’s going on + mercy mercy me” new mix 2023

Музыка

A new pair of mixes of 2 classics from Marvin. You know the original mix is a bit clouded in reverb, with not to much rhythm presence. I got the original tracks of the recording sessions and I tried (as usual) make a more modern sound mix. I hope you enjoy it. Cheers!

I'm 75 and I still love Marvin Gaye!!!!!!!!!!! He was and is my most favorite singer. I still find it so hard to believe his father shot and killed him, I remember it like it was yesterday!!!!!!!

Yep. One of the saddest days. Anger and ignorance resulted in the death of a great soul. The world lost a visionary on that day. But his message is still relevant today.

The song topped Detroit's Metro Times list of the 100 Greatest Detroit Songs of All Time, and in 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the fourth-greatest song of all time; in its updated 2011 list, the song remained at that position. It is included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list, along with two other songs by the singer. It was also listed at number fourteen on VH-1's 100 Greatest Rock Songs.

Yes what's going on with this black on black crime, what the hell is going on, we need a what's going on nation concert to bring us together, I have 3 grandson's I pray hard for their safety,an that we see each other's as soul brothers an sisters again with true love. #BLACK LIVES mean nothing if we can't have love for one another.# Get it together✊w/✌️

I am 69 years old and I still love Marvin Gaye's music, he was the greatest of all time, his lyrics was true and meaningful and had messages that rings through to what is going on in the world today, I hope we meet when I pass this earth. LOVE YOU MARVIN.
