So...I'm supposed to be grading papers and doing lesson plans and instead I stopped everything to play with your wonderful new creation. You are beautiful, Lady! Thanks for a lovely treat.
After all this time following your blog how wonderful to have this added to my learning enjoyment. Thank you Jan. What an inspirational person you are!!!
I love how you just tossed the scrap of paper off to the side. It made me chuckle out loud. Awesome card.
I made 12 of these for Valentine's Day! It was easy to do following your instructions. Thanks for posting!!

Adorable card and great video. I love your sense of humor! Thanks for making me smile!!
Thanks so much for the dimensions Jan. Can't wait to make the card. Margaret
I came across your site via referral from Dawn's Stampin Thoughts. I was fascinated by the Magical Marquee Video. My 1st attempt wasn't the greatest. The card didn't fold closed properly, so I made a 2nd attempt and am enthralled!!! And so excited. Before I forget how, I am making several others & can add phrases, etc later. Thanks for the great idea-think I need to check out the book-did find a source! Thanks again!
It's been a while since I've seen such a cool idea, Jan. Thank you for sharing, and for being so funny, too!
You're not a doof. You are brilliant!
This is so clever, especially the way you did the punching. TFS Tere

I just found your channel today and I love this card!!! Such a fun interactive greeting!! Can't wait to try it! Thanks for the tutorial ;D xx Ann
Thanks for the video! I LOVE this card! I rate it 5 chocolates on a 5 chocolates scale! Thanks for learning how to do videos!
Beautiful! I have a suggestion. Maybe if you place the post it down so that it sticks to both side you can just cut down the middle and punch without having to reposition and match back up. IDK just a thought thanks for the video!
Hi my name is Aleena I am going to love your video so much
"It sounds like I am making RICE??" I don't know if anyone else got that but I was thinking the same thing before you said it! lol...Now just add a Julia Childs accent when you toss the piece away...another favorite part. All in all a great card. I noticed on your lager circle card your opening was in a Circle shape and not a diamond shape...harder to do? Thanks for the idea and the amusing bon mots! cheers dave
Nice idea of making the flower half again it was a nice small carddddddddddddd.
Hey Margaret! Dimensions for the basic card: 1 - 5" x 10" piece of cardstock for the base. score at 2 1/2" from each short side 1 - 3 1/2" x 5" piece of cardstock for the proscenium. 2 - 3" x 3 3/4" pieces of cardstock for the marquee. score at 1/2" from one short side. For anyone looking for more information on dimensions, etc, I have added the link to the post on my blog that has the video with this information included.
So clever!!! Thanks for sharing.
Aws! I love it great job
Hi Jan: I just discovered your channel. I absolutely love this card. It is amazing. Can you please post the dimensions of the nativity card you made. I have this stamp set and would love to use it as my Christmas card. Thanks for the fabulous tutorial. Love, love it. Can't wait to make it.
Very clever. Now you must do more! ;-)
Yes, it's GOJUS!
It's possible your two curtains are catching on each other because they are not long enough. They need to overlap slightly in the center when fully open.
Thank you for the inspiration and great tutorial :-) Hugs, Anne
Yes, that's right! Thanks!
So when you put the curtains on, that 1/2" score went right on the card score, right?! I think I got it! Thanks for sharing this!! You are fun to watch btw!!! ..Pam
i love it hahahahaha your so funny, i was a little sad :p you made me laugh, i like it a lot,i'm gonna make ona for my boyfriend :3 regards form Monterrey Mexico (Y)
Thank you!
awesome
Its not the bit its the pieces on the sides. When they do come together the centre bit closes perfectly. Its the panels to the outer edge. When the left and right side close the panels dont slide in the bend. Hope that explains it a bit better.
Love the Nativity one what stamp set did you use if you don't mind me asking
thank you
Can you make a tutorial for the very last card you showed us? I would very much appreciate it!
You are so cute ... Love your sound effects lol
i like it!! thnks :)
I dont know what I'm doing wrong. Ive made two of these but the pieces on the side a not closeing properly. They are bending and wont slide in as yours does. When the card closes they bend and dont move. Any ideas.
You may have answered this already but I didnt see. When it comes to the scallap punch what size is it?
What book did you say you first saw this card from? thanks, Con.
you're so funny! and great tutorial %)
Where did you get the shape of the Nativity scene? Thanks
amazing\\\.
la cosa es que ella olvida decir que las dos slader no se pegan así,tienes que dejar una pestañita, por eso no quiso abrir la que hizo en el video porque esta mal
Ah, nice video up until that point where she had the two curtains upside down. Good thing I wasn't following along trying to duplicate it. In case I'm wrong missed it, the sticky side goes down right? ;)

Not in this case. The adhesive is on a scored tab on the side of each curtain, and when you fold the front of the card over, it sticks to the FRONT of the card. When you open the card, the curtain pulls open because the front of the card is moving to the side, and the score line on the curtain there folds to keep the curtain from getting all messed up by the proscenium as it moves to the side. This was the major change I made to the design I found and what makes it work much better with heavy card stock.
Voila
cool you are genuis heads of to you
can you make the window in different shape

+Poloy Alcuizar I don't see why not. You would have to carefully think through your measurements if you did a shape that wasn't perfectly symmetric, such as an oval or rectangle, but it could be done.
Julia Child, haha!! :D
cant u cut anything by urself. 4 everything ur using a punch.but the idea is awesome thnx

I could cut a circle by myself, but I don't because a punch will do it faster and perfectly. I've traced lines and cut by hand and the results, while acceptable, are certainly not as good and take longer. If you don't have a circle punch or a square punch, you can certainly trace and cut what you need to make this card by hand.
se intelege sau se loate
my English is not so good .. From first watching I was saw that here something is wrong, because you don't open the card you made for tutorial.. ?!?! Why? Have some trick with orange parts when you sticking, because like this tutorial here is not true.
Very fool
