On a more serious note: will we get compendium videos for the villains and/or the original MU characters?

We need a ranking for both marvel united seasons!

A note on Logan: He's in the Days of Future Past set because the base set Wolverine really struggles against Nimrod. For one, base Wolverine heals after each Villain turn but no Mastermind cards are drawn until all the Sentinels are destroyed. Second, if Nimrod is fully powered up when he comes out, he will instantly and permanently KO a hero almost every turn. Logan is able to consistently heal while reducing the amount of damage the Sentinels can throw back at him AND can survive a fully charged up Nimrod hit, making him a better Wolverine for that specific scenario.

While I disagree with some of your rankings (Psylocke's anti-bam alone makes me think she needs to be WAY higher), I respet the amount of time/effort you put into making this video! Thanks overall for this man!

Cyclops and Havok have always not been able to deal damage to each other with their powers. That's always canon and have been part of some of their story lines.

So about that cookie ... will that be part of the next DT kickstarter?^^

I don't know if I am really forcing to see Rogue positively, but I think that with a higher number of players she can be much better, having more variety of abilities to copy. Unfotunally I can't see she being decent in a 2 or 3 players game tough, unless one of them pick a really OP ability to copy from.

For Iceman first class. I ended up drawing in the 2 games I played him the ice slide on turn 1 which allowed everyone to move for free

Dazzler was absolutely amazing with the exception of spiderman. Her 2 ability cards were amazing and destroyed the villains I faced

My top 10 from this season: 1. Cable 2. Deadpool 3. Doctor Doom 4. Nightcrawler 5. Silver Surfer 6. Multiple Man 7. Sunfire 8. Pheonix 9. Mr. Fantastic 10. The Thing And top 5 villains: 1. Brood Queen, a super fun straight up bug hunt 2. Sentinels/Nimrod, epic battle and so unique. 3. Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch, awesome thematic tag team 4. Juggernaut, the random directions and durability really makes this into the most fun single villain boss fight. 5. Dark Phoenix, crazy location destroying battle that flips attacking on its head.

So awesome thanks for this! @Tom What are your thoughts on Juggernaut hero cards and the Grey Hulk?

The heroes in S1 would likely rank the lowest amongst the 3 seasons.

Weird choice to put some of these characters in the X-Men side of Marvel, since their most famous team-ups and confrontations were in the Avengers/Spider-Man side of Marvel.

You have gambit much higher then rogue. For me I reverse them. Gambits difficult to use unless you generate a lot of tokens Rogue can get a double wild from her abilities. She’s not a team player but she can have good turns.

The problem is that abilities aside, Rogue have too few total icons on her cards compared to other heroes, she is one of my favorites characters on X-Men, is a bummer that they did her like that.

Awh Firestorm returned to DC. Great compilation of all the videos! It would be great to see Tom's power rankings in a spreadsheet, PDF or Text file on the website.

You can't buy the Deadpool expansion just for Lady Deadpool. She was a Kickstarter exclusive. So anyone buying the Deadpool expansion now won't be getting her.

I feel firestar is overrated or misunderstood. Those special cards give the same amount of actions as a "normal" card with 2 actions because you are only transferring 1 action to the next character. So it generates 4 actions in 2 turns. It doesnt bring any benefit to play it as the first card.

I wish your grading system meant something. It's just so inconsistent. There's no correlation to the number of symbols in many cases, just seems very random.

4 Alpha flight together break the game. You could possibly collect 16+ wild tokens from Guardian all at once. Plus all the tokens the other members collect ( unless we're playing it wrong ? ).

I like him a lot, and I think if I were to play this game with other people that he would be the most fun for someone new to play as he can do a lot of damage while introducing thematic tongue in cheekness that elevates the "chaotic fun" of the game

This is good because I never made it through the whole list. One stop shopping!

I genuinely prefer watching you, Tom to watching Endgame.

I sold off a bunch of characters I have no connection to and to me I’d never play because why would I pick Iron Fist over Spider-Man and yeah I’m playing a game with all Wolverines haha sorry to the Iron Fist fans, just never came across him or connected to him. But I noticed I kept 6/10 of Tom’s top 10; 14/20; 19/30; 24/40. I’ll stop there and note I didn’t get everything X-Men (Deadpool, Gold Team, Phoenix Five, ?).

Cloak is one of the worst characters in the game :P

This game is so stupid because most of these are impossible to get for a decent price

Some of the. best heroes and villains are in the base box. They also just ran another Kickstarter with the X-men stuff so keep an eye out for another run or more expansion copies to hit the market

So much time and content devoted to such a mediocre game. Just my opinion, of course. Marvel, Marvel, Marvel.

@@Elkerlyc I had low expectations going in, played base MU and was lukewarm. The more i played of MU X-Men the more I fell in love. It's my #1 game right now.

Yeah I agree unfortunately. Was excited to play it but after a few games, just couldn’t do it anymore. The simplicity might be a boon to some people but it made me dislike the game more and more. The minis are the only good thing about it imho. Give me Legendary Marvel or Marvel Champions any day.
