After he won he actually destroyed the stones. He didn't want to use them anymore. He didn't want to rule over the universe like a casual dictator. He wanted to save the universe and all living things from themselves.

Thanos is the best cinematic villain/hero I have ever seen. He was not the "Mad Titan" he was the only person willing to do the unthinkable, in order to stop an unstoppable force in the universe. And I say "villain/hero" because if you guys have been paying attention like I have, you'd all know that what he was doing was the correct course of action. He would have stopped Galactus from awakening & devouring all the planets that are now "ripe" with life again thanks to the Avengers. Without the power of the stones & gauntlet, stopping Galactus will be next to impossible. Hopefully someone will be able to acquire the "Ultimate Nullifier" & forge a deal with him. I think that will be their only hope, especially now that Tony Stark is no longer amongst the living. R.I.P Iron Man.

Legitimately in the top three Thanos tributes ever made.

This is an awesome tribute to Thanos! :) I especially loved this part 1:17-1:50 , with all fighting against him , truly great edit!! but the rythm here is insane 1:40!! Thanos hits Thor (goes with the music) , hits the other guy (also with the music) and Captain dropping the shield (with the music too)!!

Thanos has to be the best villain that I ever seen in a movie. He just has that purpose, you know? His purpose is true and sometimes I wish he could be real and wipe out 1/2 of earth in real life, just to give us a spanking and a slap on the back of the head.

As if I just clocked - 6 infinity stones, 6 days God created the World and the Universe. On the 7th day God rested; After Thanos finished his “destiny” and collected all 6 stones, he rested at a planet named “the garden”. Where did God place Adam and Eve? In “the Garden” 😪😪😪 I keep on saying this, but Avengers is just too biblical 🤯 it’s like they’re hinting so many things out right in front of our faces...

The fact that the iron man suit could withstand and attack from an infinity stone does really show how brilliant Tony was

Reality is, Thanos was and is right. Resources are and will be finite. And even if they weren't, sapient life will always be ugly and corrupted by sin. Only a proper recreation could remake life in a way free from sin, free from greed and free from pride, the one original sin, birthing all others. If sapient life is like humanity, it might as well cease to exist. So much sin... it's ugly. This is the kind of thing that deserves to be eradicated. If there can't be utopia for everyone, might as well mercy kill everything. If happiness is distant and unachievable... what point is there in existence?

Thanos was like a Father to me.

A Soul...for a Soul.

As kids we admire heroes... As grown ups, we understand villains
