@@klausllacaj6239 to be fair, the reason the movie is not what it could/should be isn't because of that decision. So if they did make her an ally and slowly corrupted her by the end of the movie, We would still just get the same end product, just an alternate version. And a side note, that writer seems super incompetent by just existing. So I hope they never hire him again.

WandaVision, and all of the movies leading up to WV are the build up to her becoming a villain. She loses her mind and falls into depression.

She wants her children yes, but the darkhold corrupted her. The darkhold manipulated her sadness and used it to get in her head. It also used the scarlet witch to trap her mind. I will always feel bad for her cause her life was never happy it was just depressing. I get there’s moments but all the happiness is really only on the outside inside you can tell she’s dying.

That statement about English not being my first language was a brave assumption and a very rude one. The darkhold and the scarlet witch are the main sources for her becoming the villain. Wanda Maximoff was originally a normal person. The scarlet witch was forged into her. Without the help from the scarlet witch Wanda would’ve been killed from the mind stone. The scarlet witch is WANDA’S full form. There is a difference between Wanda and the scarlet witch. Strange even says it himself. I really don’t think your right on this. I kind of feel like they forget to show that she is “evil” because of the dark hold. Makes people think that she is truly evil I think.

Dude I totally agree. I love this movie s o much and it’s quickly become a comfort movie for me, but there’s no denying that there’s some big plot holes. If I could change just a few small things I would - make Wanda’s decent into evil a bit longer OR at least explain better how the darkhold corrupts so we can understand. - change the writing of the end so that instead of the whole “believe in yourself” thing, Stephen just does his little “your magic always knows where to send us” speech…. Then scares the shit out of her somehow to activate the portal. I just think that would be funnier and more realistic XD plus you could add something horror-themed to do it

@Sad B!tch girl i know but that’s how it works like an actor can be famous for one role and then be known as that character for their whole career. In Lizzies case, the thing that had made wanda popular was wandavision, then dsmom came out and she did nothing inbetween, i guess we’ll see when love and war comes out and see if it does well because of elizabeth olsen.

The movie would’ve been 10x better if they showed how the darkhold corrupted Wanda, in depth. Like the darkhold inducing voices in her head, or something similar, while Strange and Wanda team up to fight a common enemy, but Wanda later gets corrupted and becomes the antagonist. They should’ve also dived more into Strange’s emotions, they made his character very one dimensional in this film. America could’ve also been given an actual struggle instead of the cliche “I’ve always been able to control my powers”.

She would have been the best Marvel villain if only Marvel weren’t stupid and actually fleshed out her character to becoming a villain. WandaVision wasn’t enough. It was so sudden. Even Elizabeth thought it was sudden. In all honesty, I think they failed in bringing in sympathy from the audience because so many who previously liked Wanda are now completely against her character. They ruined her and I hate it.

A large amount genuinely still love Wanda (some to much but thats all fandoms) and a significantly bigger portion love Olsens portrayal of the character and her genuine flawless acting.

I get the darkhold “made her evil” I think that’s dumb as hell. She had such a wonderful arc in Wandavision that was almost completely scrapped and redone in Dr. Strange but worse. I would’ve much rather seen a story where she’s the villain but I have a better reason to root for her. Like civil war.

Why are we letting some other movie get the best villain ever? Because Wanda is a character who is defined by collateral damage through war. She kills hundreds throughout this movie depite being a witch with mind control (however weak it is). Civil War was her best entry, and this movie takes a dump on who she was. Also, why didn't she look for Vision, her parents, her brother, or anyone she lost other than kids she never had? It's the multiversal supermarket and she went after illusions she made, rather than actual people? Why didn't you use this movie, as intended initially, to craft the origin story for Wanda's villain arc? She goes from apologetic recluse to magic H**ler because Micheal couldn't stand the thought of someone using his idea of a cool concept before him.
