I love how in MS2 this scene was a reality but Miles was subconsciously in Peter’s shoes

I watch this trailer once every couple months because of the powerful message of getting back up after hitting rock bottom and conquering your demons to propel yourself to greater heights. I get tears in my eyes when the man at the end talks about using self doubt as an opportunity to be greater. Easily one of my favorite game trailers of all time.

I really love the fact that Insomniac decided to reference this trailer in Spider-Man 2 in a unique way.

I watch this trailer pretty often. It’s oddly powerful and beautiful, it makes me feel Greater.

I always come back to this video because of how beautifully they show Spiderman's strength of character. Strongly reminds me of how you can pick yourself up in life and show the world what you're actually worth, regardless of the countless people who've done you wrong.

Except by definition, he is a vigilante. And its understandable to be against the idea of him taking the law into his own hands but thats purely from an outsiders perspective. We see why Peter does these things and why we love him because of it. Because Spider-Man is proof of law ≠ morality. Think of Robinhood basically. Steals for the sake of helping the poor

Wanna know why I keep coming back to watch this? Spider-Man is falling, with all his self doubt, only to have his demons push him down even further, and for anyone who's played the games, knows he doesn't grunt like that in game I feel those grunts with each foe he faces, with each struggle he pushes thru, over and over. Coming back to this and it's as amazing as ever. The light shine on the Spider-Man logo on his chest as Aunt May's voice says "Peter, it's time to get up" is just so powerful as it kind of symbolises Peter remembering everything that he stands for and all the voices beating him down are really not speaking the truth. Never related to Spider-Man more in my life

I watch Spider-Man when I feel down. He always has been an inspiration to me, either with studies, family problems, fake friends and others.

So this is what they meant by Greatness Awaits

This scene still hits hard after 5 years. It’s showing us how Spider-Man keeps struggling to fight and gets beat up. As he falls, every supervillain hits him. But as soon as he heard aunt mays voice, he got back up. He goes back and defeats every supervillain that hit him. That’s literally one of the greatest cinematic trailers of all time. When you just say “Spider-Man” It feels like something really cool. This is why Spider-Man is my favorite hero because he never gives up and Stan Lee is just like one of best people for creating this incredible superhero that is so great.

Now Miles get to experience this for himself. Not as climactic or impactful as I thought, but it was still nice to see this trailer get referenced. Repeatedly watched this to death.

i love how this shows exactly what peter couldof done to his villians if he stopped holding back. he one shotted nearly everyone. Look at shocker for example. hes a whole boss battle and takes many held back hits to beat. yet if peter really stopped holding back he could one punch right through him killing him. Cant underestimate the spider-men

Spider-Man just has this way about him that makes me feel better about life. He's like the big brother i never had 😊

Crazy how often I come back to this trailer. Just beautiful. Really represents spiderman as a character and why we all love him.

I know right I come here every once in while to watch I just can’t get enough they should have made this into a tv series

You can see the love that went into this game, all that worked on this game are Spider-Man fans and it shows. The suites are ideas of some that worked on the game individually..their own personal ideas and asked if their idea could get approved and some did, a game made by true fans😎

Expectations : Make a neat trailer that can get people hyped up for the upcoming game Reality : Makes an empowering and uplifting video under 2 minutes that people will come back to every once in a while for many years to come.

I love this trailer! It reminds me of why Spider-Man is my most favorite character because he’s human like everyone else. Getting beat to his lowest point only to hear Aunt May tell him ‘it’s time to get up’ runs chills up my spine. I lost my great-grandmother who kinda took the ‘Aunt May’ role in my life. Yes I have a mom, who is the best mother a guy could ask for, but my great-grandmother always made me feel special. Her last teaching I remember her telling me before she passed was, “You’re as happy as you make yourself out to be.” Meaning no one can make you truly happy but yourself. My advice: Be Greater than who you think you can be, and I can assure you, you’ll make yourself out to be a hero in everyone else’s eyes.

Imagine we got 3 quality spiderman games all in the span of 5 years. Crazy.

The fact that as someone who didn’t watch the promotional material before playing the game, I finally understand why the chose this as the tagline five years down the line has me feeling like a fool.

Not going to lie this trailer made me tear up. As lame as this sounds I look up to Spider-Man because besides having powers, he's extremely relateable and gives me motivation to never give up and "Be Greater".

if you say this, it shows youre a 15 year old trying to be edgy. Some trailers are meant to make you cry, some are meant to make you laugh. Its the art of it, and its the art of story telling. Not that a big of a deal this trailer. Any MGSV:TPP trailer is behond this...and more!! This are just some trasitions showcasing some of the bosses you will enconter..! What makes that special? The transitions? The music? I've see so many great games trailers that were almost like a masterpiece (when the Dead Island trailer in slow motion came out was a beatifull piece of work, Witcher 3, some WoW trailers were also, plus any MGSV trailer, ....).

This trailer is basically the point of Spider-Man, no matter how many times you get hit, you get back up

Can’t believe this video game is already 5 years old! Feels like it literally just came out a year ago!

Spider-Man may not be #1 GOTY, but it well deserves it. This trailer shows no matter how low a point you've hit, no matter what obstacles get in your way, you just get back up. Spiderman is depression, and the enemies are the symptoms. Not just this game but the character itself is the "there's always hope." And "never give up" type.

I don't think Red Dead Redemption deserved the award. It's more like a simulation of the late 1800's rather than an actual video game.

I like to believe this capture the true aspects of Peters character. We see him fall, lose and be hated even tough all he wants to do is help. His back against the wall figuratively and literally and in this case falling down to be splattered. In the end he gets back up, triumphs against the odds and does the right thing.
