Agatha seems like MCU Goosebumps. Not really a show you "need" to watch as soon as each episode drops. More a show you can catch later. I don't see it getting big buzz since the character is so obscure.

This writers strike was a good thing for Hollywood, especially for Marvel Studios, because a lot of their movies and TV shows were in need of changes, namely Daredevil or Captain America, for example.

Some corrections: The new character is not called Patti, she is called Lilia Calderu, the actress is called Patti Lupone. The Witches Road is a dimension that can only be accessed by covens of witches, so Agatha will form a new coven, to go to the Road to recover her lost powers, not in search of massive revenge.

Really looking forward to this.

The textbook definition on who asked for this series

In my opinion, Marvel Studios has their "comeback formula" already, and it's in their animation department. They say the simplest solution is usually the best one, and it's staring them right in the face. Get the team behind X-men '97 and What If to run the live action adaptations, or at least play consultant roles. This Agatha show, IronHeart, Thunderbolts, Cap 4... Everything except Deadpool 3 looks like absolute hot garbage. They need to fix it.

wandavision was awesome & because this is made by the same people, i'm looking forward to this quite a bit. never followed these characters much in the comics but i didn't follow guardians, thor, ant-man or iron man either & marvel managed to win me over so hopefully they can do that here too. plus kathryn hahn is just lovely & aubrey plaza has it goin on so, how about all you negative nancies go back to yer nostalgia-bait or whatever & leave this show to the actual fans.

@@jb50 Exactly, the coping is on full display. They always try to bring up the earlier phases to try to cope with current failure/lack of hype. Iron Man proved itself with a good writing and he became the heart of the MCU. They took they took the B level comic character Iron man and made him an A level MCU character. Guardians' same thing, good writing, likeable characters, that led to a solid trilogy. Audiences trusted that Guardians 3 would be good for that reason. Why should we trust Agatha after shows and movies like She Hulk, The Marvels, Secret Invasion and Echo?! Dead pool has hype because the character was already a success for joining the MCU. X-men cartoon was successful before Disney, same with Daredevil, he was already a success before the MCU, so fans are more likely to give those things a chance. Agatha is a meh character from an ok series (Wandavision) why should audiences care about her?! Disney plus MCU has been terrible, Loki is only called good because the rest is so bad, plus he is a likeable character from the good days in the MCU.
