I’m hopeful because I think it has potential. I really love the combo features making sone team comps more appealing but not being a limiting factor. It’s a very interesting way to encourage team variety and any future characters has a much better chance of shaking up gameplay due to it adding new team combos

This game honestly looks extremely cool and the possibilities are endless. All the characters look really fun and the designs, I actually really love them. Really was not expecting this game to look as good as it does.

I see this going as far as OW2 did.

Starlord has reaper death blossom as a normal ability, his ult is soldiers 76 and mercy ult combined and he gets mcrees dodge reload roll, who tf thought this was a balanced character

Lets put it this way. What if there is a critical flaw in the game? How will they know its there? And moreover, why keep it secret from players? Its a scummh tactic. And while im very hopeful, the game still has thay as a hige red flag that itll have some majpr issues. Ff14 has the same issue to a degree, with its fanbase being anti criticism. This game looks amazing

Weird idea for characters but the Ashen Combine or the Twilight Court from the recent Avengers run feel like they could fit into this game

Not gonna lie but this game looks dope AF, the graphics, art style, top notch. The heroes all look fun to play, I'm probably going to main either Spidy or Groot, or even Storm. But I really, REALLY, hope this game does well and doesn't get cancelled because 'oh didn't make enough $$$' or some other nonsense like that.

I think they need to focus the characters a little bit more to their roles cause some the characters don’t do enough of thier job lookin primarily at the vanguards. They should also make the combos a little more likely like Scarlet witch, and Doctor Strange would be a better combo and a gamma sword would be far more likely when comboed with magneto.

This game came out of nowhere I feel like. Seems like a cheap OW ripoff for a quick MT cash grab though. But of course I'm sure there are plenty of hard working people that worked on this, so at the very least, good job to those people.

I was looking at there steam page and they made a announcement about the alpha test. In it they said "A quick reminder: Marvel Rivals is PC only for the Closed Alpha Test and it's definitely not pay-to-win. We're all about delivering an awesome experience for everyone!". I though it was weird they had to clarify that is was not pay to win.

Be careful of saying anything negative Arrekz, you signed a non-disparagement agreement for early access, and you can be sued for even implying anything isn't perfect about the game.

We didn’t actually get a media key or access directly from them, this is why these videos are only releasing now while others have done it sooner. You can play via an invite from someone who’s already in and lvl 6. So nothing is signed or agreed on our side, it’s crazy that people agreed to that for media access!

I love it! Sure it looks like overwatch, but the characters and abilities are completely different, which makes it a completely different game. I hope it comes to console and becomes live service. I'd love to see more marvel characters. We might get to see the Fantastic Four, more Xmen characters and villains, spiderman villains, Daredevil, etc. We can get so much out of this!

Tbh some characters kinda have too many abilities, imagine forgeting that what chracters have what extra keys to press. Also the team up should be an option, i can see people complaining already like if youre on low hp and your teammate just activates the team up on you and you die, they complain. And vice versa or many other ways like "hey you can do the team up with me! Why arent you doing it?"

Spider-Man is basically like tracer. He does have too much mobility, you basically have to pick punisher or someone to hit scan mow him down.

I am so unironically excited for this game man, it’s far more than an Overwatch clone from what I am seeing. We got Xdefiant out here overthrowing COD and MR overthrowing Overwatch, the synergies and character designs look so genuinely fun and interesting to play, I used to love marvel and DC before the movies and games all went to shit so this may bring back a bit of that spark.

Huh. I'm kinda shocked that this game has X-Men characters but not Wolverine. Not that I'm against that, mind, I just find it surprising. I am however disappointed that neither spider-person has a team-up with anyone. For Peni it at least makes sense since she's not familiar with any of the other heroes and vice-versa, but you'd think Spidey could at least team up with Hulk or Iron Man or even The Punisher. Or they could team up with each other since they're both Spider peeps.

@@sircruz7573 Possibly... eh, maybe my disappointment stems more from annoyance over how the team-up mechanic feels a bit half-baked in general. Like, Star Lord doesn't have any team ups with the other Guardians, while Rocket has one with both Groot (which is fine) and PUNISHER of all people. Like sure, they both love their guns, but has Rocket (a spacefairing raccoon who fights galaxy-spanning threats) ever interacted with Punisher (a New-York vigilante who wants to kill as many crooks and gang members as he possibly can), like, at all? And Magik's interaction with Black Panther feels like something that her portal should just be able to do for all heroes? Even if there's some special connection between the two I'm unfamiliar with, I don't see why only BP can use the portal. And speaking of Special Connections, why doesn't BP have a team-up with Storm, who last I checked is his WIFE? And don't get me wrong, I think the team-up system is a cool idea and a fantastic way to give this game its own identity apart from Overwatch and Paladins. But its implementation seems to be somewhat slapdash, underutilized, and poorly thought-out.

Crazy for those that did but we didn't get a media code. You can get access to the game by someone else inviting you to alpha if they hit level 6 so we haven't signed anything. In addition, we haven't been putting out review style content for the game, just 2 gameplay showcases which we are only releasing now as we didn't have a media or early access. At the end of the day, the problem lies with Marvel or publisher that is putting that into the TOS.

While the game visibly looks great i think it needs some more time in the oven espically with the particle effects. The voice acting is fucking god awful though. Marvel has the money to get the voices from the movies except for blank panther god rest his soul. Honestly black panther sounds the worst out of all of them.
