The sculpt of the collar fluff is close enough. Typically when people think of feathers they imagine flight feathers but vulture plumes and the majority of a birds body is made up of down feathers and contour feathers. They have less defined shape and come off as looking very fluffy and air-ey. The sculpt has really long defined lines that are really off but on a shelf from a distance it has the right look.

That head on Vulture really does have much more paint apps than your usual comic-based humanoid-faced heads tend to have.

I like the vulture a lot, he’s on a stand in the back of my shelf and looks great looming over with his big wings

Yeah QC problems have been ridiculous with this wave My dr doom was missing the extra head sculpt and torch was missing a flame effect Both factory sealed Had to rebuy both

The one I have has the slot on the back of the arm on the tricep area. Doesn’t really help. The smaller pieces pop off really easily, especially when the butterfly shoulders are pulled back. As soon as the wing touches his back/lat area, it pops off.

They fixed the wings connecting to the tricep issue because I just got one yesterday on mine they connect to the tricep not the shoulder

I really like this figure

I always liked the Vulture and even with all the flaws, and there are some, I love this figure. With the wings attached to the arms like Anthony said, with the strips painted all over and a better ab crunch this could be a 10 in 10 but Hasbro had to save those 4 cents because they are very poor and could have gone bankrupt if they didn't. The actual bird has plumage around the neck but they are so thin they end up looking like fur and on the comics they used to draw him looking like that too. Thanks for the review Anthony.

I’ve seen there was a running change where the wings go into the bicep instead of the shoulder. I personally haven’t seen either in stores yet.

I'm glad they went back revised and moved the upper wing peg down to the triceps area instead of the shoulder, such a bad choice on their part to start with. Poses so much better than being in the shoulder:) Really shocked me they did lol!

Funny, your upper wing tab is also on the shoulder mine are actually on the tricep... wondering of this is a early release issue. Or if I have an accidentally perfect tabbed one.

Do you ever touch up these figures to improve them?

Like very much. Hasbro corrected the way the upper part of the wing connects to the arm. It is no longer in the shoulders but in the triceps.

This is a clean figure for a ML...too bad I only plan on using his body for a Professor X(Onslaught) custom rather than enjoy the Vulture as is.lol

Production change, newer releases has it on the shoulder, kinda makes buying it online a hassle though

I really like the big balls for the shoulders , Spiderman would look better with big balls too,I believe the prototype of the pizza Spiderman had big balls but they changed it,what a shame...

I would say the collar is not inaccurate. If this was Ditko Vulture than yes, its seemingly quite different, but there are artworks where the thing looks and billows like that.

Which one do you suggest I get the Hasbro vulture or toy biz vulture

Okay, question. If you had to pick between this Vulture, or the 2 Pack with Spiderman one, which would you get? I'm trying to decide, and I don't have a Spiderman figure yet. Been thinking of basic Black Suit Spiderman from the McFarlane TAS series you reviewed, but I want the more basic Red/Blue outfit, even though the 2 pack one with the armored Vulture is more of the teenage Spiderman.

Jordan Sharp this is classic Vulture. you gotta go classic! The best red & blue Marvel Legends Spider-Man is the pizza Spidey, & on eBay rn there’s a seller from China selling k.o pizza Spidey’s for $18. you can hardly tell the difference in the k.o.

Ok figure. But the wings disappoint me! These figures are not cheap. I have to think about this one. Thanks for the review. 🙂

The latest Hasbro releases have all had shit QC, I've yet to find a Lord Drakkon without major paint issues on the helmet.

I'm glad you pointed out the odd choice of having the small wing pieces plug into the shoulder rather than the triceps, Ant (sorry they cheated you out of half a wing, btw...bastards) ... it's another in a series of head-scratching decisions Hasbro has made lately - 80th ann Hulk's half a butterfly joint, 80th Cap's remarkably similar headsculpts, 2-pack Havok's missing glove cuffs, etc - that make it hard for me to feel as though these aren't missteps, but intentional shortcomings; why make an end-all, be-all classic comic Hulk, when you know you can rectify this versions "mistakes" on a future release, and get all us chumps to pony up again. I'm not taken to conspiracy theories, but engineering those wings in such a way so that the continuity is broken up in all but a few poses seems like such a no-brainer it would've raised flags with a 10 year old head of design... thanks for letting me rant, and for another great review (I've come to expect as such)

I hope that I get one of those, I'm buying my ML figures at a Portuguese store now and this wave will only be available today. Have you bough one of those new ones? Don't you think it's a bit unfair for the collectors that, like you, already bought the other version?

I wanted a vulture figure but the BaF thing they did with MCU Vulture was BS and way to expensive I might just get this PS I do agree with your criticism but there are so little Vultures to choose from

You have shitty luck cause I hardly have any QC issues with my Marvel Legends. I did get a Boom Boom with two right hands. I got it from Best Buy and I returned it with no problems. I think it's great. The shading doesn't bother me but the wings don't stay on securely but not a deal breaker.

Major bummer for me. I was hoping to retire my ToyBiz Vulture but after looking at this one, I’m keeping the old one and passing on the new. It has more pluses than minuses compared to the Hasbro version. Too many cut corners in yours Hasbro.

This figure is just OK. I like the Toybiz Vulture sooooooooo much more.

But do they really do any better with shading, details, etc on 20 dollar figures elsewhere? Idk I guess I was always impressed with marvel legends but it's also the only ones I collect for that low price range.....most if not all the higher aren't worth it to me

Mine has the hole in the tricep.

They ended up changing the wing design to attach to the upper arm. The fact the shit design was changed right away just shows they knew it was a shit design changed it but still sent out this garbage for the wet shipment. Anyways the ones you find now have the right attach to the triceps

I put them on the sides they were in in the package. Also, they go on either side so you can have the sculpted part facing out depending on the pose.

Damn they really Hasbro'd the shit out of this didn't they

You can put them on either side depending how you're going to pose it... I put them on the side the were in in the package.

figure looks great to me but what do I care I stopped collecting after I graded Dr Doom a 10 out of 10 as he is still in my opinion the greatest action figure ever. Vulture looks comic accurate for the most part. Other head reminds me of the old 60s tv show Vulture. For a tech villain he looks very nice. I would have given it an 14 out of 19
