It'll never happen. They won't do and neither will i. There's no point. They aren't in charge so they can't say anything worthwhile. And if the people in charge took interviews, they would all just be saying, "profit."

I recently purged my Marvel Legends collection. I have about 10 figures I kept from over 250. It was cathartic, the collections I have now is so much more unique. Each individual figure I own feels more like a piece of art than a copy/paste. Reuse isn't a bad thing, but I had bagged the same 20 hands and effect pieces with the same 8 bodies so many times. I have more unique accessories for my TMNT figures than I did Marvel Legends and I only collect the NECA movie line. Even now, I'm not into GI Joe but when I see the stuff they release DAMN, puts ML to shame. I got my self excited for the X-men '97 wave though, but then I realized a couple new head sculpts doesn't make up for the fact that the rest is just reuse of what I just got rid of. Ending on a positive note, I'm enjoying Spider-Punk!

The spider verse wave is great, plenty of unique sculpts . The only ML figs that are consistently good ( nee sculpts, paint l etc) are the MCU ones. Everything else, nope, its either reused everything with one new thing like a head, or new stuff thats just not well made proportion-wise like the new Vulcan body, bad articulation, i mean Hasbro released 3 new different Spidey bucks and none of them holds a candle to the Jada Fey long or even Mafex Spider-man. Speaking of which, price notwithstanding, Mafex since their first comic Spidey in 2019 have been, imo at least, the go-to company for Marvel and Dc comic figures, and even movie figures.

@@tonileo9849 Agreed with Mafex being great, I've had Venom on my desk for 2 years now, when I'm done with him, I just attach him to my mic stand with the magnetic hands/feet! We'll never get the vast amount of characters on the downside, but also none of them feel like fodder 😂

I just have a few modern legends like Silver Samurai and Dr. Doom. I have many toybiz figures and though they are old, I like how effort actually went into those spidey villains, Rhino, Scorpion, Hobgoblin, Green Goblin etc.

@@alwyzbandit7291 tbh there s no need to be a vast number of characters if the big, important ones are done right. If you want a good comic nightwing, mafex, a good ben reilly spidey mafex( with both suits). The price and the waiting time are big cons though.

That fully sculpted ear painted black has got to be one of the funniest "fuck you, who gives a shit" things I've ever seen from Hasbro. It reminds me of that viral image of the roach on the wall that just got painted right over with white paint. That's such a lack of investment and care in the final product that it borders on contempt for the consumer. I just have to laugh at something like that.

There's something weird going on with the placement of the hips. The legs are super wide outside the hips. Like they picked the beefy female legs from the Moonstone/Rogue body but decided to use the base body of the dinky female figure. It's not that she has wide hips, it's that the legs are literally the wrong size for her body. Freeze at 6:27 Once you see it, it looks RIDICULOUS. Like it's supposed to be from a completely different figure. Because it is.

Agree. Main thing that got me to not buy this fig, even though I wanted to, because I like the costume and character. A female fig's hips should be about as wide as her rib cage, not as wide as her freaking shoulders.

Reviewers like you are what we need in the world! Honest, direct and straight to the point! No sugar coating bs and telling you the good and bad! Not by personal feelings, but a general perspective, even if you do personally like some more than other's. Hasbro is shite right now and people who keep buying them are the reasons why they keep releasing them! Bet if everyone stopped!? They would be forced to either make better product or just quit overall! Also for those who said you "buy them anyway"? Why you also have those big sales getting rid of them! Which is genius! Dare I say that a lot of ML buyers are also ML resellers. They're not gonna let Hasbro take all the profit, they want in on the action too lol

I like how this modern version of Spider-Woman is on a new body (double jointed elbows at least), but that upcoming Skrull Queen/Spider-Woman figure is on a near 11 year old body mold.

I reckon I will echo my sentiments [on Hasbro] from the other day as it is rather relevant. Hubris And Substandard Basics Repeated Often Hasbro’s quality (or lack thereof) has steadily declined. At present they are a shiftless company [that] should be producing quality-grade action figures, especially for the price. Hasbro has instead become indolent, cheap and tawdry, heavily relying on outdated molds, sculpts and other unremarkable paraphernalia. Yet their exorbitant prices are the antipode; meretricious ‘collectibles’ for the submissive collector. Sad as it is for consumers, the acrostic slogan above, while a fun and clever word composition, is a direct representation of the company’s current business motif.

How much would it add to the production costs if they'd add articulated neck piece and articulated toes?

I couldn't agree more with you on this whole wave. It all sucks, except maybe Electra Daredevil. They should be using the New Black Widow Body for all females that aren't really muscular. It has no pins, it's double jointed with bicep swivels and butterfly joints! The three headsculpts are awesome! The other accessories are meh, but I didn't buy her for the accessories except the heads. This headsculpt on Spider-Woman absolutely blows. Seriously, WTF is that?

At this point reboot the marvel legends just like the mcu 😂😂😂

Honestly, I think it's better for Hasbro to stick to the plan of 100 shitty figures a year instead of 30 decent-to-good figures a year. Because if it was only 30, then we'd only get 30 videos of Anthony tearing apart Hasbro.

I genuinely believe that these figures are so bad because they know Spider people sell so they think they can get away with not putting any effort in, considering how cult like a lot of ML collectors are they probably can get away with it

I'll tell you one way you know Hasbro is listening to this channel, every figure that gets a bad review ends up in the bargain bin. What's funny is even if it was a good figure that got a bad review, the end result doesn't change. Straight to clearance

These Hasbro Marvel Legends figures are laughable but give it a thumbs up because Anthony does great reviews😊

These Legends just feel so outdated and inconsistent compared to other figure companies. As much as I’m excited for that new Black Widow, they are still so damn insistent on using that ab crunch that pales in comparison to a good ball peg combo for the diaphragm and waist. Still doing butterfly joints that don’t work. Still making figures that may or may not be able to kick all the way out. Buying the Mafex X-Men figures basically solidified it for me. Once I get Widow, I’m done with Legends. I’ll keep a few but everyone else is a place holder until something better comes along. Already sold off Legends Storm and Gambit. Adding grey suit Black Widow to the mix too. These aren’t fun anymore. I’d rather spend more on one good figure than spend $100 on 4 pieces of mediocrity.

I like the red and black contrast, but it needs to be done correctly.

@Anthony, not sure if you discussed this before. But which of the these 2 companies you think is doing better - Mcfarlane or Hasbro? Personally, I prefer Mcfarlane, even though figure and articulation is not perfect, I feel I get more from what I pay for their figures.

I think the only reason why i still buy any figure by hasbro is because i literally dont pay any bills currently. That, and i severely pick and choose who and what i buy. But as my classic avengers team collection finishes, my interests in collecting marvel legends diminshes. I cant even justify buying random characters rn because of how shit the qualitys been and how expensive they are. Id love to expand outside of just the avangers but unfortunately, overpriced repaints with very minimal retooling most times make me very uninterested.

I got tired of hasbro’s crap and stopped buying ML altogether. But I still like watching you review them. They serve as a good reminder of why I stopped collecting the line.

Outdated body types with updated prices! Liked the red costume better but the new one is almost the same as the one from around 2014. Real review from real reviewer!

Q of the Day: I’m completely unfamiliar with this suit. The design is fine, but I don’t need it. As far as the figure itself goes, this is getting really bad. Hasbro is trying to con us into paying thriving line prices for dying line quality.

Anthony, its is down right depressing. I did not even take the figure off the peg when I saw it in store. I poked it and was immediately repulsed. You encapsulated all the problems and the short cuts of this Spider woman. The Chasm at least has a vibrant paint scheme. Electra is the forerunner on quality and execution. Retro card be damned what are they doing?👍✌️

@AnthonysCustoms In the interview that shartimus did with them, they made it out like either recessed or raised webbing would be significantly more difficult to do, and they couldn't do it without a significant price increase, and I just think of the original 6in toy Biz Spider-Man which had exactly like you said, recessed webbing with a wash, as someone with experience in making figures is that significantly more difficult to do and if so what are the difficulties with it? Or is it just typical Hasbro being Hasbro? Love the channel, keep up the good work!

Raised web paint is definitely more expensive. Recessed webs mean all you need is a wash which would be way cheaper than smooth webs painted on... But they require the body to have sculpted webs so the body is less reusable.

Don't care for it at all. I only like the classic red look for Drew with or without the scarlet spider hoodie and the blue/black costume for carpenter's spider-woman.

Just cut the bottom of the blister. The two sides at the bottom and then along the card. It'll make a flap

It's like an unofficial tax from Hasbro for people who like comics and are blinded by their love for these stories and characters. Why would anyone ever spend money on these, when there's a whole dozen of reviews that show how bad they actually are.

It's getting old... I literally haven't bought a figure since the movie Venom and that waves Carnage figure.... they're just getting WAAAY too comfortable making sub-par products. I can't support that, regardless of whether there's a figure that I really want, or not. I'd seriously rather try finding Chinese knockoffs on aliexpeess, than buy hasbro figures. The bootlegs I've owned (only ASM2 and Pizza Spidey) were pretty comparable... almost exactly the same, in fact and cost around 2/3 of the price. I'm not seeing much reason to not. Sik

The accessories are absolutely tanking these figures for me.

What a drop it must have been to be reviewing T.Rex one day to THIS. Greed is the King in Hasbro's ML court these days. "I don't care who buys it as long as it sells" philosophy rules. Listening to the Hasbro ML team SDCC interviews, we should be thankful we get crap because if they were to actually spend money on designing great figures, there would only be Spidey, Iron-Man, Cap and Wolverine. Gaslighting from the biggest action figure manufacturer.
