Last stand is still Canon. It's 45-ish Spiderman which died fighting police officers in futuristic tech suits and weapons. He could have easily gotten away but he'd lost everyone and chose to go out in the cemetery by his family and friends. Younger Spiderman is there watching from behind some headstones and Last stand remembered being there and talks with or at his younger self before wading into the frey. Great video and really nice wave..I really liked every figure even the chick which I have zero reference or attachment to. I appreciate your work and hope that you have found whatever you'd lost with the Fwoosh channel. You seem happier? I hope that you and those you care for are happy, healthy, and safe this new year. For whatever reason Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider costume was always among my favorite Spider-Man designs. I don't know if it's because it had a 90's 'punk' look with the torn hoodie, or something. I don't know, I just know I always liked it.

Last Stand Spiderman comes from Amazing Spiderman #500, where Peter is doing some time-travelling hijinks and he gets to the future, where an older version of him is shown wearing that suit just as he's about to have his grand Last Stand. The design of the suit then is shown to come from an old-man tailor (on ASM #502), who by accident ended up becoming a super-guys tailor, both superheros and supervillains (he receives them on alternating days), got in contact with Mister Bug Guy (his words) due to some stuff happening, and then they have a talk during which he gives some harsh criticism of Spiderman's suit, seeing as he's a tailor. At the end of the issue the tailor gifts Spiderman a design of his own for a new suit, which is the Last Stand outfit, and the reasoning behind it is for it to be warmer, allow better sweating, and more comfortable than his normal outfit, plus the use of slacks and jacket means he could do a quick outfit change by removing the mask, the gloves, and then the jacket is reversible, so just needs to turn it inside-out and bam, he looks like a civilian. It's a pretty enjoyable, and down to earth issue, while introducing the neat concept of a super-guys tailor.

@@RoboDontKnow Well, "modern", as the issue is cover-dated from December 2003, and was released on February 2004, which was 20 years ago. It's part of the J. Michael Straczynski/John Romita Jr. run from the early to mid 2000's.

​@@RoboDontKnow lol, thankfully if you wanted to see the story it shows up in, it's a self contained story! It was the 500th issue storyline and they celebrate Peter's birthday in it, he gets a really sweet moment at the end of the story too and I'd recommend it if you have time!

I got him as my first Marvel legend and it's so good. I love posing it.

I’m extremely biased when it comes to ben, but I think there is an argument to be made that this Scarlet Spider is one of the best Spider-Man figures ever made. And kudos to Hasbro for making a plastic hoodie that doesn’t hinder any of the articulation

I actually more surprised that comic book writer Erica Schultz sent you these free comic books, now that is pretty cool. Anyway, good review Robo!

That Jack O Lantern body would be perfect for an updated Black Knight figure!

Somehow Jack O' Lantern is in my top 3 Figures of the year. He is a delight.

Love how the retro series has kinda become a spiritual successor to the old "Spider-Man classics" line.

Super appreciate you taking the risk and opening up Tombstone's jacket so we can all satisfy our curiosity 👍 One thing's for sure, we're not gonna see any open jackets on that mold...

Scarlet Spider is the best Spidey costume of all time.

Not been a huge fan of Marvel Legends for a while but Jack O Lantern just caught my eye and i had to get him, what a fantastic figure

Last stand Spider-Man is from a reality where may and Peter die and Ben becomes Spider-Man.

Few notes on Scarlet- The “bracers” are web shooters! Ben wears his on the outside of the costume (as opposed to Peter, who wears them under the gloves) and some artists draw them as a series of capsules rather than a flat cylindrical shape around the wrist. And yes, they can do more things! Ben came up with “stinger” stun darts and “impact webbing” which fires a glob of webs and wraps up a foe in one hit! As for the hoodie, that’s another element that depends on the artist. Some draw the hoodie tucked in, like the Rhino BAF sculpt, and some draw it as a ripped cropped fit, like this figure (and, incidentally, Across the Spider-Verse). I wouldn’t be one iota surprised to see this figure done up in cel shading with a new head and an unmasked head as an AtSV/BtSV release. The sculpt is bang on for Ben’s cinematic look.

Curse you Robo!!!! I already wanted most of this wave with the exception of hallows eve. Now you have really sold me on them, even though I have been cutting dowm on my spider-man collection. They really put alot of details into scarlet spider that i didn't notice on the promo shots. I'm sold on him, jack o'lantern and even last stand spider-man. As always, you do the best marvel legends reviews out of everyone! Thanks buddy!!!

Tombstone actually has a lot more ankle articulation. He has a swivel up inside his pants cuffs, and you can shift the joint a little bit forward and back, giving it more hinge up and down than shown in the video.

Oh man! Get those "gun point" hands on a Symbiote Spidey and youve got yourself some Spider-Man 3/Maguire dancing hands!

Yeah. The reason for that is because Hasbro based their Last Stand figure on the Last Stand alternate costume from the first Insomniac Spider-Man game.

I had the same thing happen to me at Walmart I was gonna wait on some of them found them on the peg and couldn’t put them down. Also snagged some good clearance deals there as well.

I genuinely love the last stand figure. I did customize it into my figure, but the jacket is perfect for some characters that I want to make. The abaranger team jacket is what I’m wanting to make. 🥰

You'll probably won't see this but might has well explain who spider shot is since somebody else already talked about last stand spider man. Now this hero...name I guess is assassin spider(don't know why they called him spider shot) but basically his story is this spider verse stories. His story his based off a wolverine and spider man one shot, where in 616, pete and logan fight, pete accidentally kills a girl logan likes(but she wanted to die), pete feels guilty, logan talks to him and offers him to join him in a misson, now in the original, spidey leaves but in this whag if universe, he actually tags along with logan and during a mission, they go into a battle and accidentally kills another person and yes he feels guilty..again, however this changes him alot. After the mission, he heads with logan and becomes a new shield agent, leaving his old life(and mj) and becomes a anti hero. Honestly tho, it seemed like he had a better life. One thing that's awesome about him(besides his web shooter guns) is that able to somewhat see the future, able to dodge and know whats gonna happen before it happens. Then in the spifer verse comics....he gets killed off. Honestly he's a cool version of spider man, got this figure myself and gotta day, he's awsome!

I bought more figures than I initially wanted too. This was a good run.

1:50 Fun fact: the extra details on the jacket, mask, and hands are because the figure is based on the design from the Insomniac Spider-Man games. 2:41 Lower body is reused from D+ Hawkeye. 14:34 Correct on the reuse. Same with that Bucky-Cap, the boot tops are on the wrong legs. You can see how off-centered they are with the parts above. Renders even show the sculpts for the back wrinkles on different sides. Gloves, torso, heads, and saucer are all new. Designed by Daniel Salas. You can find the renders on his ArtStation page.

I love this wave and I've already seen some good custom potential from it with Tombstone's body making a good Two-Face body or a future Mayor Luke Cage suit body and I want to get one of the Spider-man bodies to make a Creeper base since they are both acrobatic.

Same. I was only interested in two or three of the figures from this wave. Yet, I now own them all. They always get me with the Spider-Man caca.

Those seam and boot/leg details you were talking about on the Last Stand Spidey reminds me of the "55:5:5 rule" my graphic design professor would always go on about; the idea being that a great design should be able to catch your audience's eye at a distance, or 55 feet, ande bring them closer, then you want to "reward" their curiosity by having more detail at "5 feet", and then even more detail once they're only 5 inches away. I feel like those seams and the boot detailing on the jeans are serving as the "5 inch" point, just shrunk down to 1:12 scale.

I love the bulk of the Tombstone body. I've been looking for a suited body to put the Mafex Hush Bruce Wayne head on. I think I've found it. Might have to shave the height down a bit though.

Tombstone is beside big Ole Kingpin on my display. Ole Jack was a given purchase. Eve just has some presence on the shelf. Popped a extra hob/demo goblin glider....scary stuff. If she had extra monster heads....winner. Passed on spideys.

That gap under Tombstone's jacket is crazy. The dumbell looks extended for his height. I'm sure that the lower part of his abdomen would fit the top half nicely with a shorter one.

Tombstone has been a big player in the Spider-books recently with gang war and his daughter’s wedding. I would really like more of the fem rogues. Electro, Scorpia, Lady Ock, and I guess the daughter of Kraven and Trapstr no E. They would go great with White Rabbit and Beetle. I want an unmasked Janice head. Anyway. Sprinkle one or two of them next to”retro” Spidey wave. I wouldn’t be opposed to Spider-India or Spider-Boy being included either. But they better dang freakin’ get on retro Chameleon from the Animated series. He and Vulture would be great! I like Spider-Man.

I picked up Scarlet Spider right out of the gate, but I may have to grab a Tombstone as well.

Shapeshifter type heroes are hard to make into toys, Walgreens Mystique got that half-transformed Rogue head, but it wasn't meant to go on the Mystique body. AoA Morph has no alternate heads or accessories at all to show off his power, so it seems like Hallow's Eve made off okay.

As a die hard Ben Reilly fan I adore this figure. It's the best ever made, by any company. Throw a 3rd party soft goods hoodie and some web effects on him and he is sensational.

The smooth mask Spidey wave. Better than being smooth brain Spidey wave. 😊

So weird. The same exact thing happened to me. I pre-ordered the same 4 Robo did and then happened to see the 2 Spider-Mans at Walmart, so I decided to get them too. And my Walmart never has anything!

I keep thanking the PS4 games for the designs of these figures. Last stand is straight up the model from the game (they did that previously with the spider armor figure). It's just funny how technically que last stand figure has a more accurate video-game head than both video-game figures.

I'm not a huge Spidey fan, but I love filling out the Spidey villain shelf. Hallows' Eve, Jack O' Lantern and _especially_ Tombstone are must-buys for me! Jack O' Lantern is the highlight of the wave for me. Love the different finishes and playability. Wish it had a stand, though. But I have way too many already, so I'll make do. Would be perfect if the saucer was a little wider.

I picked up a second Tombstone. You can use a GI Joe neck and then pop a legends head on there. You will need a second peg though to attach the base of the neck to the body.

I put Last Stand on the Toybox motorcycle from the Spidey and Ham bike and sidecar set, for an Akira homage.

I've seen people replace Spider-Shot's legs with Black Panther ones to help eliminate the crotch gap.

Love last stand design

I pre-ordered that Scarlet Spider already, but you may have sold me on Hallow's Eve, someone who I was on the fence about because I am very selective about what Legends I get these days. I think I may bite, though, after this. Tombstone, too, may make the cut.

I've seen cloth goods hoodies for the scarlet spider figure that work with that figure on eBay

Cosmic Ghost riders flight stand looks good with Jack-o'-lantern

This is a great wave. It gives you some classic goodness along with some modern and a little spiderverse along the way. That Hallows Eve will look good next to Chasm. I really am curious as to what the deal is with Spider Shot ... it is just weird on the gap.

There has been a lot of Jack o lanterns and Mad jacks in comics

The Jack O'Lantern is beautiful. Absolutely my favourite of the wave. Also, really like Tombstone and Hallow's Eve, though she is making me think i need to go back and pick up Chasm. The Scarlet Spider is nice, but I just can't get excited about another Spider-Man. That said, though, if they put Miguel on the new buck, i will buy him in an instant. Maybe even a Kaine 🤔

I still need to snag last stand and Assassin/Spider Shot. Jack O Lantern was a must get but for me he's gonna be battling Cap. Just hope his Batty friend joins him soon. Also I really am sad they didn't make the peg in the pogo able to work on a Fortnite Glider stand . At least could hover over figures with that stand.

Scarlet is by far my favorite legend of 24 so far. I think he will be dethroned by Danny aka iron fist though.

Eve is my favorite, I put mine an extra Goblin glider!

I wish tombstone's head wasn't connected to the neck so i could customize using that body easier, I just hope they reuse that body for more characters. It looks really nice

I don't mind the spider shot crutch i never look at figures crutch that would be embarrassing but i think spider shot looks cool lol 😅 i think the this wave is just another hit from Hasbro . all have its uniqueness. I especially like the jack o lantern and tombstone 🪦 Scarlett spider is the one that sticks out thats probably going to be sold double the price hopefully it won't be hard to get . because of how much they worked on him .

this wave is kinda weird for me, because out of all of them im only a little familiar with tombstone and ben, mostly because of the 90s cartoon. recently decided to get all of Spidey's gangster rogues gallery, since i had kingpin and hammerhead, and knew where i could find a loose silvermane, so tombstone was my 100% need. jack'o'lantern just seems like a goblin knockoff, but a nice looking knock off.... far better than the original that i passed on years ago. i know basically NOTHING of last stand or spidey shot, but ill be damned if those arent good looking figures, so i grabbed them as well ( i mean, its all any targets in a 20 mile radius have). hallows eve?? other than being ben's boo, NO IDEA, but now that i watched this, she looks awesome, gonna have to look into it. picked her up as soon as i saw her anyways... NOW, the only one i need is scarlet, which i havent seen ANYWHERE, lets say no less than 8 games stops, 8 targets, 7 walmarts..... ugh... gonna have to order him with some MIA joes... oh.. and i need 2 vamps... if those ever become available..... myyyy wwaaaaallllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttt....

I haven't seen anyone mentioning this to you yet, but Tombstone comes with a crowbar for the weapon holding hand.

That tombstone body would make a good base for a mcfarlane bruce wayne. In particular the arkham city bruce

Spider Shot thigh gap is weird but certainly not a dealbreaker for me. The suit design is way too cool, and unless you have him in a vanilla pose, it’s not noticeable at all. It might have been too much trouble but I think the Hallows Eve face feature would have been better the way they did the Star Wars Rebel trooper face plates that peg in. Or just swappable heads altogether. I’m also puzzled by the neck choice for tombstone. it’s a huge departure from every other legend and doesn’t seem to give any added benefit. also makes it impossible (or at least annoying) to use the suited body for customs. Otherwise it’s a pretty solid wave.

Those are obviously NERF basketballs on Jack O'Lantern's belt.

Always did like last stands costume and the reasoning behind it, the radioactive spider ummm juice giving mj cancer not so much

I hadn't thought about that but not quite. I almost did the whole X-Men '97 Wave 2 but didn't get Cyclops and X-Cutioner was on his own. But I just remembered that I did the whole Void wave back at the first of the year. So not near as much as I used to.

I stopped collecting legends a bit ago because everything was either something i didnt care for OR it was so poorly made I couldnt justify paying for them, I DID however pick up the Scarlet Spider yesterday at work because hes my fave Spiderman and he was actually work the money. I also picked him up since Ill be getting Superior Spiderman (my other fave version) once he releases

As for custom ideas with Last Stand Spider-Man, am I the only one who feels like the legs would look great on Chamber? As someone who's always been picky with the line but loves Spider-Man rogues Tombstone I may circle around to eventually, he's just outside the cut-off point for major Spider-Man villains I need for my display, but a good looking figure speaks for itself. Scarlet Spider looks great too but he's not super high on my want list, plus at least for me the shade of red is a bit too pink for my liking.
