Sabretooth is my #1 choice for AoA figures; so really glad it finally came. Unfortunately, it's in such huge demand, that's the only figure from the wave that's still on pre-order...at least from Amazon. Then finding remains of the wave at Walmart, all but Iceman and Sabretooth were there.

I love the way this look with them together, now I want a Birdie with a gangster Sabertooth

I'm pretty sure some of those pics at the end were what we all wanted to see at the end of Astonishing X-Men 2.

Thank you for the chain walkthrough/tutorial - first vid I found looking for tips to be sure it didn’t snap trying to manipulate it. Hope the material ages well! Astonishing was my fave AOA team (then Generation Next) so this wave really filled out my roster - next stop: Shadowcat & Colossus vs. Sugar Man

This review gets a 10 outta 10! It is nice to see X-Manny back at it. AOA and Retro Spidey are my favorite offerings from Hasbro outside Transformers and GI Joe. They are just a treat to have and mess around with. Granted I don’t have AoA wave two yet. Waiting on my complete set from DS. This Sabertooth makes me excited for the eventual redo of his nemesis Holocaust. I removed the skeleton years ago and lost it so I have the empty shell. That BAF is ok. The new deluxe or BAF for wave three should be really good…

I’m loving the “review a day” kinda thing! I am looking forward to the next reviews! After finishing this wave do you know what’s coming next? I’d love to know! It’s fine if you don’t though. I loved this review! Also, I looked up “Custom Jim lee saber tooth marvel legends” and the second video was a custom on Movie Venoms body. Compared to Wolverine and Omega Red is was talked and looked pretty good. I still think all of the ones you showed in the video were better fits though.

I’m trying my best bro but also making sure I’m having fun at my own pace and not making it feel scheduled. Feeling scheduled makes it feel like a job to me and I don’t want to feel like that. I gotta remind myself that I’m doing this for the fun of it.

I’m watching this!!! And I hope to see Jim Lee/ X Men TAS Sabretooth on the on this Sabretooth figure because this is the perfect size for him since he’s bigger than Wolverine, but it would be nice like you said that he’ll have double jointed elbows.

This was the most important figure of the wave to me. I have pre-ordered the wave and was looking forward to your review. Wild child was tall and lanky in the comics so I think this is comic accurate Also the need to retire the hell out of that poorly designed Miles. I just realized if they would have put the Retro Venom on the Caliban body mold I would not have any hesitation with buying that cash grab repaint of omega red. I already have Wild Child and you created an amazing pose here. Great Job. Maybe we are going to get a top 20 this year, yeah?

Top 20 would take me forever to do lol. Top 10 videos is enough work for me but there’s just soooooo many great Legends this year that can make content creators do a top 50 or top 100 list lol

I would prefer The Jim Lee sabertooth on the Omega run by for the AOA sabertooth I would prefer that body mode 👍👍👍

I suggest switching out the plastic chain with a real chain, looks and poses way better, just have to go to any arts and crafts store and just go to the jewelry making dept. That's what I did and makes this duo better.

An X-cellent review as always, Manny. AOA Sabertooth looks great. Definitely have to have this wave. ✌🏻✌🏻

I got an extra wild child for a custom. That chain went well with a ghost rider figure.

the omega red body would be the best.....depending on the era of the character..he was kinda skinny early on.. around jim lee he was about the omega size.. i want one on the omega one....already going to make a custom on it.

Enjoyed the review, my Manny! Your question about Wildchild being too big on that buck, or should he be on the teen buck... Well, my opinion is this: While I DO think he's fine on the current buck, it wouldn't bother me to have him on the smaller buck. THAT said, I ALSO think that the current size keeps Sabretooth from looking TOO huge, when paired together the way you've done here. Considering I ONLY got Wildchild on discount for the chain accessory to use on a custom, and then decided to keep him and paint him purple & black for my Alpha Flight Team, I think he works fine, at this size, especially since he's basically crouched ALWAYS anyway... Which brings me to... Yes, Sabertooth IS a bigger guy, BUT DAMNED if you guys aren't crazy about a bigger, bigger, bigger Sabertooth/Venom...!!! He's big, but not THAT big, I mean, he's NO Colossus... Bigger than Omega Red and the 616 Sabertooth is too big... The AoA size is fine for THIS figure because, 1) it's an alternate universe, so (BECAUSE OF ARTISTIC STYLE) he could be more jacked up from fighting off more powerful enemies, and more importantly, 2) since I hate the AoA universe anyway, I don't care how big he is, LOL 😆😅... But his 616 counterpart ISN'T a hulking behemoth. There were a few artists that made him MUCH bigger than he should have been, which is where I think this mental image of him and huge Venom comes from... Personally, the Hyperion buck IS the RIGHT size, and I don't have an issue with it, and I'm really NOT clear on why there is SO MUCH HATE for that buck...? Still, if everyone insists on complaining about that one, and we HAVE to buy ANOTHER one, Omega's buck is the stopping point for me. Beyond THAT and he's no longer Sabertooth, he's become Saberhulk the bulky, and I'm OUT. Cyber, on the other hand, (a character which I HATE as much as Bane), SHOULD be on the Omega buck, and not whatever buck they stuck him on... Fortunately, I'm not helping to fund Hasbro's money grab on THAT 5pk, so it really doesn't bother me. 😅 I'm STILL waiting on a Marauders team classic Sabertooth version, though I like the Jim Lee costume best, BUT I'd love to see a redo of the Wrecking crew on this Sabertooth mold... Still need ALL 4 of those guys to put me closer to the FULL (Original) Secret Wars cast...

While there are some things I disagree with here, you also made some interesting points. Scaling is usually never accurate with this line when it comes to certain characters height. Take Venom out of this conversation since the symbiote can change sizes. So no more debate there. Ideally, Cyber and Sabretooth should be on the Omega Red body. Some artist depictions draw them differently to the point where it just becomes a matter of preference. Like Lobo for instance is a great example. Many artists depictions have him muscled up, tall, short, skinny or fat. All his figures will always get complaints because of various fans size preferences. For me, I like them bulky. I like the new Cyber. Plus, I’ll have him posed hunched over to play with scale. Can’t please everyone. Also, there will be no Bane disrespect here on my channel as I love that character. Lol. Chill with that. Much love and thank you for always participating in the chats.

I swear I love this figure but my only gripes is no claw hands! And no butterfly joints! I'd take the clawed hands over the butterfly joints but damn we could've had both. Other than that the figure is damn near perfect imo. If they up scale the omega red body to the aoa sabretooth size then it'll be perfect. Caliban size might be to much but I wouldn't mind at all because sabretooth need to get more respect he's under utilized imo.

Thanks! It feels weird posing on camera because I have to hold the figure a certain way at a certain distance, while maintaining to keep an eye on the camera to stay in frame.

Looks great but I still think the Omega Red body would be a better size. Big but not overly so. Some clawed hands would've added to the fun. I think Cyber uses that body too. Great review X-Manny.🙂

Wonder why they didn't use the Omega Red buck. I mean we've all been mentioning that since Red came out. I'm just grateful it's not on the Hyperion body, but those butterfly joints would've been awesome. I can see passing on the Mafex Magneto, but man it's gonna be awesome when they do a Jim Lee Sabretooth. Hope it's a good size, unlike their Venom.

Since Sabretooth has been the most anticipated figure from AoA, I wonder if it was Marvel that chose to make Magneto two per case. I've seen remnants of the wave here and there, but the one thing they all have in common is no Sabretooth. Other than it should've been packed two per with the popularity, the whole no BAF piece thing would make more sense with them being the big figure. So I'll give Hasbro the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't their decision lol. The redundant ponytail thing is super weird. Like, did they have a slightly different sculpt, but the factory screwed up. Who knows man.

The art depictions always made him look bigger than that so this is closely accurate to how he looks in AOA. Never count on scale with characters height in this line as it’s usually off anyways.

@@Xmanny87 Well, he had claws when he was in the Exiles, his last AOA ML figure had claws, the Marvel Database lists claws as one of his attributes and even the artwork at the end of your video shows him with claws. In the story line he was a mutant and claws are one of his mutant abilities so powered or de-powered Hasbro could at least given us a choice with a pair of clawed hands.

True. In Exiles, yes. I guess it’s just one of those different depictions from various artists. Majority of the time he was shown with no claws. I read all the 90’s AOA books to know this. I know when they did a modern take of AOA they did give him claws. But rarely in the 90’s AOA did I see him with claws because he lost his powers. So this is pretty accurate and doesn’t bother me. Maybe they’ll give him claws if they ever do a rerelease. That would be cool.

I totally agree ! Leaving out the claws for sabretooth makes no sense especially when the card shows him bearing claws !! Annoying for sure.

It's like every scalper scumbag has this figure in the stash 🤦🏽‍♂️ can get this for nothing. Plus someone from Amazon stole the one I pre-ordered back in June, I can't win.
