Whenever I play Marvel VS Capcom or even watching the 1990s Iron Man Animated Series cartoon, I look at this figure and think ''Wow'', The 90s was so much and well never have those days again, But at least we will keep on playing with Marvel Legends figures while watching Marvel animated series cartoons from the 90s because superheroes are my childhood, Fantastic review Dan.

That “ice blast” effect is recreating the boasting pose Iron Man made during the Marvel Super Heroes game. He held his hand above his head and it glowed and he announced flawless strategy or something like that. It does look like an effect that Iceman would use.

Will look great with the newly announced WM . The Modular repaint will also work as Capcom just did a color swap.

I’m getting this guy tomorrow from Amazon and I’m so excited!

On a comic page or in cartoons this colour scheme screams Iron Man, but on a 3D representation it gives me strong hulkamania vibes. Gold paint is the way to go for me.

I loved the animated series. I currently have an X-Men Animated Series Shelf and have started putting one together for both Spiderman and Fantastic Four. Looking forward to sprinkling this Iron Man & the animated War Machine into the mix.

This is a great Iron Man release for sure but the GOLD is simply untouchable. The Gold Modular remains King.

Definitely preordered this but will most likeley be reselling minus the new repulsor and uni-beam accessories. Knowing that he's not able to actually hold the cannon with a grip/handle is what sealed the deal for me. The new blast effects will look great with the gold/hot rod red modular suit

Check other reviews. Theres a handle on the cannon where the stand plugs in that the new hands are specifically made for. Just need the stand to keep it from being top heavy.

I mean, you already know I'm the internet's bigging Iron Man TAS fan. I'm not crazy about the inflated price either, but I've absolutely got two of these on order. You know... Retro Iron Man doesn't looks so bad lined up with the Who Crew... Thanks for the review! That repulsor effect is a bit of a misfire for me. But the figure looks fantastic!

Having this Iron Man with animated Spidey AND the animated X-Men is going to make a fun figure shelf! I kinda hope they do animated FF figures as well to complete the Marvel FOX animated lineup.

Loved the show, have all the figures from ToyBiz !!! The Hawkeye was the one that started my current collection. 27 years ago!

BTW if you're in the UK you can currently pick up 20th anniversary Ironman from the Entertainer for under 20 quid - this also swayed my decision to cancel!

Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man as they appear in "Armour Wars" graphic novel.

That hand blast could work better with Iceman, imo. Or Blizzard…from HBIM? Has it really been that long? Oof. I don’t know if I picked up that gold version or not? Was it Ursa wave? I didn’t really care for the colors being too dark, imo, and the animated is almost too bright for me. 🤷‍♂️ I like the armor design, but the colors just keep throwing me off. $25 for figure and another $20 for (I’m guessing a shell?) large accessory? Nah, I’m good. Altho, turn that cannon around and you’ve got an alien space ship! 🤔😜

It's good that Hasbro are doing different things like the Proton Cannon. Maybe they'll do other accessories in future. Hi tech doohickeys for Reed Richards, Victor Von Doom etc. Deluxe Ice Man with ice blasts, ice slide etc. Which reminds me, the spikey white energy effect could work with Blizzard. 🥶🥶🥶 The price is flabbergasting though.

I wish they had reused the spiraling energy effect from nimrod for the cannon.

Thanks for the review. Dan I was fine with you geting Legends before me. I was even a little sore that you got Animated Spider-Man. Now you got the Animated Modular IronMan and now this is rubbish. The issue here, like in many Marvel Legends figures, is that their heads are a little bit "big", or they lack shoulder muscles, just compare this figure with the cartoon or the Toy Biz "brother" from the 90s, i'm tired of these skinny, but muscular at the same time figures, if they are gonna make 90s inspired figures, please make them the 90s way. See ya.

That’s not technically true, lots of miss information going around... Hasbro announced to be going plastic free in 2023 (that means the whole year was planned in advance with no plastic) at SDCC a statement was made saying ‘some’ collector items could still have plastic but that was in July of this year meaning 2023 had already been planned with no plastic. Meaning for at least a year we are unlikely to see retro cards, I’m speaking to the Marvel team myself and will get some clarity on the whole situation. Definitely not misinformation when it’s based of facts and evidence.
