I love it when you photoshop the figure and correct the proportion of it. Pls never stop doing that. Include it in every review of a figure that has ugly proportions.

Personally I don’t mind the marbly plastic look, I think it’s ok, but I will admit painted metallics do look better if done correctly

I personally hate that look and it straight up makes me feel queasy when looking at it for awhile, been that way since I was a kid in the 90s.

A wash would've made it pop and look more realistic.

The gun with two mags is actually one of the guns he uses in the 90s comics which makes it perfectly accurate. It’s a little small though.

Actually I feel the gold gives a more comic-y feel to this guy. I think it works nicely for the design.

Some versions of Maverick say he’s 6’4, so that’s my reasoning to like him haha. Either way, looks pretty good next to wolverine and Deadpool as Weapon X guys.

Been wanting this figure for a while now and this review only made me want it even more. The issues pointed are not a problem to me - torso wouldn't move with that many straps anyway. If anything I'd like to have more hands but as it is it ain't bad at all! Thanks for the video :)

to be fair he has weird guns like cable does in the comics....only time he has had semi real guns is when he was agent zero....look up his team x stuff...weird ass guns with some unreasonable placements of magazines and clips.

Are Marvel Legends not supposed to be toys, first and foremost? I know they're aware of adult collectors and even cater to them on occasion, but I feel like this line was never really meant for us, even during the Toybiz days.

Always did, their movie line is the first real improvement eg, Logan/Mystique. MAFEX is the way to go for higher quality action figures.

@@jasonmckillip5936 possibly have more investment from Disney. Same as the What If series that seem to be better than the regular Marvel Legends. Just speculating but makes sense to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Deadpool is 6'2", so he shouldn't be that much shorter.

I found the tubes on mine were very stiff, so I removed them. I wish Hasbro started giving characters more hand options than just the ones that are on the figure.

Fair point about the rating scale. It's hard not to stick to price point as the comparing factor, especially when MLs are all over the map now, pricing wise, from $20-30 for most releases. When I first saw this guy, I thought, "looks like a cool toy". Never once thought of him as more than that. And that is okay for a few days, but when playtime is over and it's shelf-time, it just looks cheap.

So what is the solution to marvellsation: paint. Are some plastics more prone to this?

Oh I've hated the marbly plastic ever since the Iron Monger BAF

Aren't his pants supposed to be coloured gold too? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember when I saw him in comics his pants has a golden color.

It's...not bad on video? Which I feel like is what you mean in your assessment at the end. In person probably not as much.

I agree. Printed plastic = cheap baby toys. Example see new Green Goblin figure. 🤮 I agree "toy not collectible" is their biggest problem headed into 2021. They seem to be headed into more of the printed plastics and less paint details. Which is not going to look good when you have McFarlane toys next to them in stores for the same price(maybe less? predicting a price jump in Legends - 25ish). McFarlane Legends 2022? 😆

I've got mine and it's nice just like your subjective review Anthony.

I k ow for a fact that the guns that came with the Sauron wave Deadpool are nerf guns; there's a Nerf gun set that's Deadpool-themed and has the same details in the exact same places. I'm certain it's so that kids who see the Nerf guns and recognize the ones on the figure will then want to buy them.

Ha legends look like hardcandy. I'm waiting for Marvel Select to do this. Of course it looks cheap. Legends don't cost half what they charge. If it's not practical to expect paint why can Mcfarlane do it?

I feel like the marbley plastic is problematic. Especially considering Hasbro CAN and SHOULD use their amazing metallic paints. It's basically as you said, the marbley plastic makes it feel more "toy-like" rather than "collectable-like". And Marvel Legends are collectables. Treat them like it, Hasbro

Hasbro just really doesn't give a shit. Just making decent figures at times to keep the license.

Mavericks an average character anyway.

I like how the head strongly ressembles a Jack Kirby character. Everything else kinda looks like trash because of the paintjob. The hips/crotch thing is a huge (no pun intended) issue with Marvel Legends imo. I just can't see most of them as anything but action figures for a younger audience. Which is weird 'cause that's most likely NOT the people that buy these characters.

Nope. Legends are definitely aimed at adults.

Legends always look so cheap and kid toy like. Compared to the Black series which have got so close to premium figures and in some cases even surpase them. I love Marvel but I own no legends apart from worthy Cap. They could do so much better.
