This figure looks really great! But... We DID just see a color-changing Zartan... I'd like to know if Dwight and the team knew about that figure when Maggot was in development. Either way, I'm still excited to add this guy to the shelf. Another X-Men era starts to take shape.

It wouldn't really work visually though, powered down he's more like Miles Morales size. Now that might be an interesting custom.... hmmmmm......

Very cool looking figure...gives me hope for lesser know characters ..Solem, Gentle,and a Exodus marvel legends

First, mine arrived and I love him! Second, someone told me to use Profit Director Destro's red sunglasses on Maggott and it works awesome! Last, I dropped one of Maggott's slugs on the floor and didn't realize it, when I saw it I was startled because I thought my dog poo poo'd on the floor LOLOL!

Would love to see a new kraven on this buck.

Maggot made it to prototype stage in the ToyBiz X-Men Missile Flyers subline. Some sort of butterfly backpack? (Along with Jean with Phoenix effect, not sure other two?) I don’t know if he was ever brought back on Krakoa? I recall one of the Weapon X series featured him (mutant prisoner camp run?), but I haven’t heard about him since. He was always a weird addition as a character. They made him a barely legal South African boy as part of his backstory, which didn’t add a thing to any plot he was involved in, which weren’t that many, and then he was quietly shuffled aside after a while until that Weapon X arc that I want to say mercy killed him?

He came back in Necrosha and got kicked around a bit.....that's it really. Such a shame, he has such a unique design and power set.

I'm glad they've finally released an official figure of Maggott, because he was an interesting & underutilized character. I just hate how his powers were never really explained properly in the comics (at least the ones I used to read). Even online sites really didn't explain his powers properly. At one time they even gave him psychometry as a power, which really never made much sense. I prefer the explanation of Eanie & Meanie eating virtually anything & the energy being used to grant Maggott super-strength & durability. They just should've added something different to the mix, to make him more than a generic "strong guy" (like also giving him energy blasts from his hands). I was never really a fan of his skin turning blue, because it kind of masked the fact that he was "black" (African). His eyes glowing and/or changing colors would've been a better way to signify his "mutantdom" & powers, while maintaining his obvious ethnicity.

A fun looking fig. Other reviewers mentioned he re-uses the modern (man bun) Hercules bod and legs, with new knee pads. Not sure of the arms are modelled on that too. I've said before he could be a free trading Kree bruiser. His slugs look more alien centipede to me.😀
