This is borderline infuriating. "We don't use double joints on our female figures because they look awful" REALLY HASBRO!? I'm pretty sure those double jointed arms look a million times better than the ones you put on it originally!! Thanks for sharing the mod, not only does it fix the limited female articulation, but also the overall look of the figure. I wonder.... Would it work for lady Thor?

Being a MU collector, I find that bullshit as well since they look absolutely fine on the MU She Hulk and Valkyrie mold, so what sense does it make to give the six standard engineering fit for a 3 3/4 standard?

Best part was the music during the heating process! Got me pumped to go home and do this myself.

Sorry man. I thought I could do it but I couldn't. I couldn't sacrifice a perfectly good Star Wars black Luke for a Legends Elektra. It's a sad world when a poor farm boy has to give up his arms for the daughter of a rich aristocrat.

Well, when you put it THAT way, haha. I have the SWBS Luke that came with the SDCC Landspeeder as backup, and then the SHF as my main display figure. This Luke was just wasting away as it was.

There's like a hundred Black Series Luke's over at my Walmart both the box and vintage card. Discounted as well If I ever get an Elektra I just might do this.

I bought a KO Luke off ebay just to do this mod. This was really easy and came out great

Thanks very much for this video! I successfully made this modification today. I also fitted Elektra’s arms on Luke’s torso, and since they’re covered with his tunic, there’s no need to discard poor old Luke.

So cool! Thanks for showing the ins and outs of this mod. I would've figured Luke would have the disk-style shoulder attachment that most Legends have. Glad it's not!

I loved watching this video. Customs are something that I personally don't have the skill for but it's super interesting to watch other people do it.

I've seen quite a few people recommend Polaris' arms for this, and the advantage to that is that they'll have more appropriate proportions.

I can see that, Polaris' arms are leaner and trim, but you still end up with the hinge and swivel at the elbow.

I dont have the figure yet but this will definately help me when i get it . Thanks

I remember sitting in the car on a 4 hour ride last year when I got my elektra just messing around with it thinking about getting home and doing this mod when I got home it was the first thing I did it took just over half an hour and we didn’t have hot water that night but it was worth it

Thats a nice simple mod Robo. The arms do still look a little on the buff side for electra but at least they look consistent now and a lot better than the original ones the figure came with, plus they have better articulation. I think Mary Jane's arms would probably look better or there are probably other sets of arms that could be painted to fit the figure better but Farmboy Luke is way cheaper and easier to find. I wonder if the A new Hope Leia arms fit this figure or if they are just too small.

Leia's are way smaller and don't look right, as far as I can tell. And yeah, ML's arms would work but you still have the limited range in the elbows. Which I'm good with on MJ and Polaris, but Elektra is more of a fighter. Gotta get those bends!

I have both those figures and I'm definitely trying that mod later tonight. From the video it looks like Elektra has a slightly darker skin tone than Luke, but hopefully it's not as noticeable in person. Either way, I'm totally doing this. Thanks for the great idea!

You're right. I did the mod last night, and it was incredibly easy. I boiled a pot of water (much easier than a heat gun, especially since I don't own a heat gun) and the arms popped off and Luke's arms popped onto Elektra's torso with no problems at all. The only really tricky part was getting Elektra's gloves/cuff things from her original arms over to the new Luke arms. I boiled the Elektra arms for about 30 seconds (after removing them from the torso) and used an x-acto knife to slice off the glove sections. Then, because I don't own a Dremel tool, I used a power drill to make a big enough opening for the gloves to slip over Luke's wrists. Then pop on Elektra's hands (which also fit perfectly) and voila, now she's perfect. Thanks again for the great idea!

Yup, I even mention that boiling water would probably work a little better because it'll give it a more even heat all the way around at the same time. Glad it worked out and that you dig it! It makes the figure so much better.

I FINALLY did it! As a bonus, now that Luke has her Mavel Legends arms, I still have my teenage Peter Parker head and now have a comic style Marvel Legends Luke Skywalker!

I used that Elektra for a Hope Summers kitbash

If I had the Luke and had some extra fabric clothing, I would've turned him into a Peter Parker. MCU or Comic

If you can't drill out the cuffs from the original arms, some figures like Rogue have similar cuffs that are removable. You might just have to paint them black.

No idea, the way these things travel across Facebook and Instagram and forums now it's way too hard to pin down the original source. Someone way more smarter than me though, haha.

Those arms are smaller than the Luke's, they would look undersized and wouldn't fit together as well.

This was an awesome mod, I actually modded mine today. Fantastic job man, absolutely fantastic. Also, will this mod work for the comic version of elektra?

These are the Black Series Farmboy Luke arms. The only difference between it and the Speeder Luke is the head.

This is the same Luke as the 40th Anniversary correct? It's going fairly cheap on Ebay right now.

Good for Elektra not so good for Sexy Luke. Might try this if I can find another Luke on sale I only have one Tatooine Luke and I'm not butchering that up.

Haha, I quickly tried that, the mushroom peg on Elektra's shoulders are bigger, don't go as nicely into Luke's torso as the other way around did.

Would it work with the Leia arms?? Or are they too small in comparison to Elektra??

From what I understand, the hinge and swivel is more aesthetically pleasing with it's lack of pegholes and less cuts into the front of the arms. Pffffft.

Her pegs flair out larger so it's not as easy to just plug in, but with a little carving I bet they will .

Not very long at all. Well, with the heat gun. A hair dryer may take a bit longer.

That's too bad, I'm doing a custom Mary Jane with Jessica Jones body, Elektras arms, and black widows head. The Little things on the wrists annoyed me at first but I suppose they could be used as bracelets. Thanks anyway Robo

Heck just adjust it for different sizes. Spider-girl desperately needs double joined arms. Also on Elektra's arms being buff, that makes sense since she's an assassin, she probably lifts weights.

Yeah, heat gun is only faster, you don't actually need as much heat as it puts out. Hair dryer works fine.
