Fwiw, that original AIM/Starlord/Ghost rider was a giant at the time and hilariously over sized at nearly 7 inches. The new Danny is probably more accruate scale but its not a 1 size fits all solution. Though I think if he was the half head taller towering over everyone it would be a different issue. Standard Hasbro problems. It's the finishing touches and details that bridge the gap between a fine chunk of plastic to something thats just hand candy that makes you happy to hold. I loved playing Ghost Rider in MvC3, I'd have liked having some more whip options. At least one more that's fully extended where he's at the very end of hitting someone with it. Getting a metal chain with magnetic clasp for GR was my first bit of customizing back in the day.

The height is definitely a bit disappointing but Im willing to overlook it. I love the head sculpt and the Hell cycle. I'll definitely keep my preorder for this guy. Great review Manny, very informative and detailed 😎

Imma take some clear packaging, trace out the eyes from the shield, cut them out and paint it with clear yellow or blue then glue them in.

The reason he doesn't FEEL Danny Ketch is that Danny had a HUGE torso and broad shoulders and a smaller skull proprtionately. Hasbro has a hard time with shoulders being to small or sunk in to the sockets.

Honestly, Danny Ketch is a ultra cool super very badass Ghost Rider with a bike like Johnny Blaze and while I may not have him, I might try to get him or the 2022 retro carded Ghosr Rider to fight The Orb.

Now THIS is what we should’ve gotten included with the failed Engine of Vengeance Haslab to justify that absurd price. That Johnny Blaze was OVER-sized. That buck is over 10 years old and 7 inches tall. Dwight specifically said they made the new Ghost Rider shorter to fix this.

i dont think so, marvel legends scaling is all over the place. atleast gr used to tower over spider man and actually appear intimidating with its highest if standed next to other mls. Can't say the same for our wimpy rider over here.

@@Venom-cd7tw the original GR figure was too tall . It was taller than the standard buckycap mold way back in the day and those were both supposed to represent the base 6'2" size

@@whitezombified compare it to the standard captain america mold or the Vulcan mold or even better, the renew your vows spiderman mold now which all re recent. Marvel legends were upscaling a lot of their bucks until they got to gr and they botched it instead

@@Venom-cd7tw they made it the proper scale . Literally the only difference is how long the boots are and how low the head sits on the neck . The actual figure is fine

Awesome review Manny! I plan on still getting mine besides the height of the figure. I missed out on the original Ghost Rider release so this guy is a must. I guarantee if they would have made this Ghost Rider a tier in the engine of vengeance it would have funded. In the wishlist section it would be cool if they re-released the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider. For those of us that did get it the first time.

I'll give you credit Manny atleast you put him on the bike, there's another reviewer who didnt think it was necessary.

I feel you on that which is one of the reasons why I gave up on their scaling.

I think he's pretty great overall. The height won't bother me much because he's not leaving his cycle, and he's not obscenely short. If the holes for eyes on the cycle really bother you, you can buy some orange cellophane at a craft store and glue it into there.

So this might not be a thing, but could the scale be because it has to fit inside a standard 2 pack style box? Are the boxes standardized by chance?

Love the bike. My main gripe with this offering is the size of the flame effect on the head. When I think of Danny ghost rider, I think of a full flame skull not this small flame. This head sculpt doesn’t scream Danny Ketch to me. Also, they should’ve given us a new accessory.

16:03 the Johnny Ghost Rider has a bunch of good things, I like the paint in the skull... but overall he looks very outdated and terrible compared to this new danny fig! Definitely getting him. Also, another person pointed out that the AIM soldier buck that Johnny uses was oversized.

I don't know much about Ghost Rider besides what I have seen in media, but this is the one I grew up with. I got the old Toybiz Ghost Rider 5 inch at Toys R Us as a birthday present. I'd like to get a retro wave of Marvel legends based on the old Ghost Rider toys. Its a bummer it's undersized. When they do all new sculpts I expect they can do what they have to for accuracy.

I agree with you about the scale. I’m a pretty big stickler for that sort of thing myself but regardless, I think the figure in the bike both look incredible.

The piece that joins the chain he usually had that in front. I think what you’re missing is the gauntlets and spikes look too plastic they supposed to be on black bands as well not just all silver. Plus his flames are too small We’re definitely going to have some modding to do.

I feel we got every right to be picky about the figure especially with his height cause we waited YEARRRSSS to get an updated danny ghost rider😭😂 i also agree on the flame piece on the head. I was hoping for a new look

Whoever decided that it was ok to make Danny Ketch Ghost Rider that short deserves to get Penance stared at... now I'll have to swap the entire lower torso and legs from my extra blaze ghost rider to get the height corrected smh

Great review. I love the Luke cage and iron fist set now we need marvel legends 2.0 Blue marvel helmeted version , Doc Sampson, mayor Luke cage, Coal Tiger aka Black Panther.

It would be cool if someone designs a Wheelie flame to have it have the flame effects all the way under and flames to have an ultimate front wheel flame with some wow factor. I'm going to talk to a couple people that customize and create something amazing with a 3D printer and perhaps paint if needed. I'll keep ya's posted if I can make it happen.

Thanks for the review. My issue is the front wheel not stirring because it takes a lot of dynamic poses/ shots to highlight the main reason people are buying the set.

Oh man i didnt know he had drop down hips. Do you think you can post a picture of how tall he is with his drop down hips being all the way down. It might look goofy but atleast he'll be taller.

Definitely wasn’t a mistake downscaling DK… they’ll 💯 make another blaze… likely with a more modern design and make him accurate in height with DK and we’ll all want to buy him anyways 😂

Where'd you get danny ketch so soon? I honestly don't mind the height. I think he scales better with other figures. As many have said the blaze figure was too big. While I do love that figure, i never liked the overly long boots. Danny ketch is much better proportioned. A bit taller would have been perfect though. My biggest critique with the figure is the head flame. I would have loved a brand new head sculpt. Which means new fuller flames for his head. Definitely still excited to get mine soon.

He looks tiny. Maybe they wanted to do a DK head sculpt. But again. He will mostly be on the bike. So I’m not bugged out about it. The one thing it does need is a little wash.

I like the scale for this figure more than the scale of the old Johnny Blaze. We need an updated buck for JB, the other one is old and giant lol

Replaced my Blaze that came with the bike with the retro card one because of that overbite, bit bummed I won’t be getting my Danny until Hasbro ships it in September, and probably gonna make a blight blade to 3D print

Honestly I don’t mind it. I just want a cool Ghost rider with his bike. And besides, Danny with his bike looks great already.

It Bothers me when certain characters get trigger finger hands for no reason like this figure and the moonknight had the same issue

I'm sure the drop down legs can only help with the figure height.

Being upset about the height of a supernatural character is kinda weird. Like that’s something your head cannon won’t let you get past. If he’s able to make himself taller when he’s the rider then why is it so unbelievable that he would want to stay the same height as his human form?? Just accept he can make himself any height and the figure you have is just the particular height he chose.

That little flame for the wheelie effect doesn't make sense, why is there just a tiny flame under the middle of the bike? They should've done a huge flame stand that connects to the front wheel.

Do you have the Riders Vengeance? I’d take an updated one. I’m curious how the Toybiz Legends will scale. I guess I’ll find out when I get my copy of the 85th. I remember pulling that Legends Ketch figure from the clamshell beast of a package and thinking the bike is too short. This one scales well with the figure. I missed a few of those movie Ghost Rider figures like the Cowboy. I didn’t miss that awesome Hellcycle. It’s pretty stunning.

Seeing this means ill hopefully be getting mine in the next couple weeks Btw i though that Danny Ketch Ghost Rider was gonna be BIGGER than the previous versions.. but ill be keeping him on the motorcycle so it won't matter..

1:27 Exactly why I will NOT be purchasing this. Took 22 years for another 90’s Danny Ketch Ghost Rider and Hasbro does THIS. It’s 2024. This is unacceptable. And at this price?! Nah.

It sucks because I really love Danny Ketch and wanted this figure, but the scaling ruined it for me. Everything else about this figure and bike I can live with, but the shortness would just annoy me every time.

The waist is a big reason I pass on a lot of ML sadly, some articulation I can deal with but call me spoiled I just prefer a ball joint, like on all action figures

"Really tiny " the original GR legs had boots that were out of proportion and way too long as well as the head sits too high . From the knees up it's the figures are the same height . It's the boots that mainly throw it off

It comes with a bike, I’m sure saving space was the reason..

I still prefer the paint app on the old one, %100. But yeah underbite is weird.

It's a shame that Hasbro didn't scale him accurately and give a Danny Ketch head sculpt and better accessories. Yet i still cant wait to have him in hand. The Hellcycle makes up for Hasbro's slack.

I think you misunderstood me. I said an updated one with an all new sculpt from scratch. Not a repaint.

If you do the math he is supposed to be what 6.165 inch in 1/12 scale. So as long as he is around that scale he is fine.

I don’t know. Seems like they shot themselves in the foot so they’ll have to downsize him as they are the same height. But who knows. Like I said, there scaling is all over the place.

Bro, the ghost rider blaze/ aim body is just too tall. Measure it up and see it's over 6 1/2 inches that's why the blaze body is even taller than cap and others...
