People must seem to forget that Colossus is not made out of chrome or silver, he is organic steel so he does not have to be bright and shiny. This figure looks just like the Colossus from the Deadpool movie which is spot on.

I know that he was portrayed like that for years but thought it was due to the limitations in coloring techniques back then. I've seen just as many recent illustrations of him having the same coloring as your figure there.

He's meant to be very shiny chrome in the comics

That beard makes him look like the Crimson Chin.

The neck issue is pretty much remedied with the alternate head.

Funny, this guy came out over a year ago. Been looking for him ever since, never seen one in the wild, and his amazon price was jacked up from the start. Went to a Wallmart today I've never been to, and there he is! Perfect in package! How long had he sat there, I have no idea, but he came home with me! :)

It's a different take on the figure. it looks imposing and the extra head with a different sculpture is a nice addition.

I still think the definitive Colossus figure is the Marvel Select one, but this looks pretty cool too. And that bearded look!

Darkman The articulation on the select version is actually really good. Usually selects are more limited but not so much for Colossus.

The legs on the Marvel Select one are weak and can't really hold the figure for too long, plus the joints are loose and the paint starts to chip as soon as you pose him. The sculpt is top notch, but it's very limited as a figure.

AnthonysCustoms I'm guessing from a business standpoint hasbro wants to spread out the jim-lee figures one per x-men wave that's what I'm guessing to keep the hype going instead putting all in one wave lol.

I hope sometime soon they use his parts to create a classic Colossus and do a Giant Sized box set with him, Storm, Nightcrawler, Banshee, and either Wolverine or Thunderbird.

Great review Anthony. I really love this figure. I definitely agree about that neck and chest but I don't really mind. I missed the old release of him and have been rocking the Marvel Select old outfit version. Its nice to finally have an update...

I like this figure a lot. my biggest gripe is I think his head sits a bit high on the neck but otherwise it's a great figure. love your videos btw.

I think they make the neck proporsion like that for the alt head, because of the alt head shape more longer. Maybe they ment to make this figure for a new head and a new costume, but they afraid it wont sale to the older fans if it doesn't contain classic colossus head.

Can you add a quick comparison to other figures in your videos? I'd love to see how a toy looks with other characters in the same toy line. So I can see how good Colossus is next to the other Marvel Legends figures. OR say the SAME character from a different toy line....say compare this Marvel Legend's Colossus next to a Marvel Select Colossus. Just started watching you videos, loved the content, and so I will continue to do so from now on :)

thanks for watching. i measure every figure i review (and i review virtually every figure) so they can all be compared against each other. comparing figures directly only helps those people who happen to have the other figure.

Still searching for this wave, guess I'm waiting until April 15th (Big Bad Toy Store) but it looks like it will be an ok figure, I think my current favorite Colossus figure is the Marvel Select Colossus figure, I really like the classic look for the character, but I will have to have this figure in hand before making that decision.

I've heard it claimed on one of the groups that the bracers/gauntlet are removable but haven't seen photos. Any idea if there is truth to that? Thanks for the review...

i saw i picture in instagram, the gountlets are glued on and you can remove them with a hair dryer but the forearms have a pair of hugh circles carved in them to alow the gountlets to have a better grip so unless you plan to costumize the figure i woudnt recomend remove the gountlets

theyre glued on and have sculpt for it. you can remove them but it would not be advisable.

Mine has 2 right biceps. So his left arm has some big gaps in the articulation.

The deal breaker for me in this figure is the costume. As a huge fan of the 70's and 80's X-Men stories, this Colossus doesn't have a room in my shelf with my other X-Men.

This looks like a great figure. Is it just me or does it seem like they just sculpted over the Thanos BAF?

There are a good amount of things wrong with this colossus. The color choices not that great. The neck is awfully big. Arms look weird being forward and too low. But looks worst The bulges around the hips, they look like love handles they come out good amount over the shorts part. It doesn't help that the chest isn't as big either.
