Well, to be fair, Sir Percy was created a full 20 years before Holy Grail.

Black Knight is one of my all time favorite characters. I have 1 of the new one already, and the old one, but I'm going to get 4 more of the new one to modify/customizs so hell work better on the various different teams he's been on/better represent the other black knights.

This figure has Targaryen vibes. Especially that head sculpt with the wings,reminds me of rhaegar Targaryen.love this fig.

I think what Black Knight needed was a steed. He's a knight for crying out loud.

Yo sharty Primo! There was also another Black Knight back in the Black Panther series that was drawn by Romita Jr. I believe we never found out who he was under the helmet.

Just bought this. Beautiful looking figure. Did the hot water trick on the sword and straightened it right up. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the plastic quality though. It feels very cheap.

Well that was unexpected childhood flashback... Woo Kelowna Scandia! And it turns out its one of three, the only one in Canada. Damn do I feel old now. Also an 'easy' but fiddly thing you can do for a laser sword is to make one out of paint and hot glue. Or 2 part epoxy from a dollar store and red dye with some dremel work. Hot glue and paint works great for blast effects though.

just got this today, along with malekith, thor and black widow to complete my cull obsidian baf, i don't collect comic versions of figures, just MCU (hence why i bought it to complete cull) but i do like this one. i'm still resisting getting into comic figures but my resistance just got a little weaker lol.

I would like the bucket helm more if it didn't have that eagle ornament, but overall this is an awesome looking figure that I'd love to get my hands on.

Dane Whitman only used the lance that shot laser beams and stuff in his earliest appearances--Avengers vol 1 48, 54-55, which was the same weapon his uncle used as a villain and an original member of the Masters of Evil. Dane gave up the lance after discovering the ebony blade in Marvel Superheroes 17 where he first learned of his connection to Sir Percy. Marvel did come out with a MMW of the 1950s Sir Percy series drawn by Joe Maneely. Dane used the laser lance after giving up the cursed ebony blade, which used to try and possess him into killing people, an idea that began in Avengers vol 1 84 and formed the plot for Avengers 100. See also Doctor Strange vol 2 68 for details on the curse of the ebony blade and Sir Percy. Hasbro's Marvel Universe 3.75 is the best figure for the classic Dan Whitman. There was also Marvel UK Dane Whitman Black Knight comics series with the original Captain Britain that was never published in the USA.

Spray WD-40 Into the stiff shoulder joint but only use a small amount I've used it before and it worked well

I just bought this at Frank & Sons collectibles warehouse in City of Industry, California. (Great place. No, I don't own it. :) Anyway, I love the figure. I swapped his cape with Dreadknight, as the darker blue goes better with the Black Knight's outfit. The shoulders on mine are tricky as well. I, too, wish it had a few more accessories, like a dagger, lance and shield, but with 3 heads, I suppose that's a little much to ask. A+ figure for sure.

How exactly do you make the stiff joints less stiff?

You heat the figure. You either use a hair dryer or put it in hot water.

I would use hot water for joints, hair dryers are better for warped appendages or accessories

I'd say the exact opposite. If you want to fix warped accessories and such, use boiled water then dunk them in cold water. For just loosening up joints, a hair dryer or even putting them in the freezer works best. You definitely don't want to dunk them in water where it can get inside of the figure. It's just messy and can cause issues. Why not just use hot air or a freezer..so much easier.

Last couple of waves of Legends QC issues. They seem rushed or plastic quality is dipped some. Lots of warped legs, loose joints, and limited movement due to QC joints and stuck joints possible due to bleeding from paint apps.

Where did it snap? Thigh swivel? I just picked one up from the swap meet for 15 bucks and it fell apart on me at home. Just fixed it the right way!!!!!!

I picked up a pack of #4 Phillips pan head screws 3/8 inch long. Turned out great!!!! I put a little teflon tape to beef up the screw head and it's nice and tight. Good luck!!!!!!!
