Nice to see Angela getting some love for a change. I used to play War of Heroes and they gave little nicknames for every character on their card. Angela's nickname was "Thor's Sister" legit that was it...

Nice action figure and review. Angela is actually a character from Spawn by Todd McFarlane. As I read the Guardians of the Galaxy comic, she suddenly appeared as if she's crossed from the universe of Image to Marvel. I read there's a conflict between McFarlane and the one who created the character Angela that lead to lawsuit to Marvel acquiring the character.

Jesse Marquez McFarlane's co-artist that worked image comics & did artwork for the Spawn series created her & won a lawsuit & sold the rights to Marvel. I was wondering how Marvel ended up with a Spawn character myself

@@TheTarheel757 Lol what no. Neil Gaiman was the writer, not co-artist. McFarlane designed her, and initially they both co-owned her.

McFarlane had hired Neil Gaiman to write a story for Spawn, and a handful of original characters were created for the story, including Angela. McFarlane continued to use the characters and Gaiman received no royalties, which left the two in a lengthy battle over what they believed they were owed. Gaiman eventually took McFarlane to court after some support from Marvel, and the verdict left Angela back in Gaiman's possession. Gaiman returned to work with Marvel, brought Angela with him, and eventually sold her to Marvel

Fantastic review Anthony!!! This figure could of sucked and I would of loved it. I've been a fan of her ever since the Spawn days. As a matter of fact the only figure I ever had of her was from the Spawn line in the mid-90's. I'm sure you can remember how fantastic articulation was back then lol. Besides her huge and beautifully sculpted accessories Hasbro just did a great job all the way around. She's on her way to me from BBTS and I simply can't wait to fondle those amazing accessories. Keep up the great work brother and thanks...

Lol I saw this exact figure at a local toy store for 2.97 on clearance! I was so close to just buying it for the hell of it, but got over it since I knew this one was on it's way :)

I'm super excited to get my Angela! Anthony I know you're usually not the biggest Marvel Select person (to say the least), but some of their recent offerings have been pretty good. Their recent Destroyer armor was alright, it actually has all the articulation you'd want out of a big figure like that including the ankle rotation... BUT I just got the new comic style Gamora and she is reaaallly good. She has my favorite attire for her, and she has every single point of articulation as the current female Marvel Legends (with Hasbro style hip joints instead of those awful DCUC style hips most of the MS figures use). I'm super impressed with her and think you'd like her as well. Plus she comes with an actually articulated Rocket who isn't as great as she is, but still pretty neat.

This ML being so good is actually kinda fascinating and a mystery on itself: you would think Hasbro would concentrate in making the most popular characters that ppl will buy and influence them in how they see the line in general as good as they can, but we know that's not always the case. Instead, they get a relatively obscure character THIS right...and I wonder how on purpose that result was? Maybe parts of this mold will be used in future, more well known female characters and that would somehow explain the budget and quality that went into it.

Or maybe they know the famous characters will sell right away, so they make the obscure characters look nice that way they don't end up as peg warmers.

I know am tell you by memory if I forgot my bad the person who drew angels had the rights for the charcter so marvel purchased Angela and that’s why she in marvel

I don't know, I think (some) companies do care about what the consumers think about the products, I don't know about hasbro but others do care and want some feedback. Nothing wrong becoming better at what you do.

Nerd Nate Pop the hand off the arm and put a layer or two of super glue or floor polish on the peg. It should do the trick.

Nerd Nate super glue on the peg let it *harden then* (has more too grab) put it in the socket should cause more friction, or use a hair dryer to shrink the hand socket (lower arm) WARNING Don't get super glue on the wrist joint itself just the peg. At least that's how I do it I wouldn't recommend it but it's worth trying. my Nick Furys neck was loose with head and neck glue on the ball, all fixed

just try the hair dryer first. might get the plastic back to its original shape. the glue thing can sometimes work but it needs to be completely dry first.

damn, this is one of those figures that makes me want to buy two of the same just to have one moc
