So much potential and never ending stories for these characters, especially once the X-Men & Fantastic 4 gets introduced, they really need to take their time with it like before. Forget about Disney Plus, stick to the movies! God I miss being excited to go see marvel movies.

​@@dariuschisholm7317the Disney hate is justified in some parts, but its excessive. Going into thinking it'll all be trash just cause it's Disney is honestly just not being honest. Theres still been great stuff the last couple of years, but its definitely not been to the same consistency. Andor, What If, Shang-Chi, GoTG 3 are just a couple examples that are proof they can still do it. I think Deadpool and Wolverine is gonna be a type of reset. Because I guarantee Kevin Feige realizes that they've been hinting at way too much stuff lately and there's way too many loose ends that just at this point are highly highly unlikely to be resolved. They need to get back to the basics and chill out.

You don't need to believe it because it's happening whether you believe it or not lmao 🤣.

I think the MCU's main problem and where it went off the rails a bit is the constant loose threads and lack of connectivity. Like the mid credit scene from Shang Chi or the celestial sticking out from the planet, etc... Don't write these things in if you're not going to pay them off soon. Yes, focusing on stories is a good thing and that needs to be done but they also need to slow down on the new character introduction and return to a cohesive MCU universe storytelling. That's what was so exciting during the Infinity Saga, getting cameos of new characters but focusing on the main story, threat, and building to that ultimate battle, with tons of easter eggs and foreshadowing thrown in to make us all speculate what was to come. And they're planning at least 2 big Avengers movies to cap off the multiverse saga, but we don't even know who the current Avengers roster will be. Where's the buildup of the new team and how they interact together? There really should be an Avengers movie prior to Avengers 5 and Secret Wars to build more of the universe and main threat.

I think the reason why everything is all over the place and we haven't seen or heard about certain things is because we're seeing different realities and dont know it yet and its gonna be revealed later on. I've seen some things that looks like our reality but something is off. I don't think some people notice those little things . The name of this saga is the multiverse saga so its is possible that we're seeing different realities that look like ours act like the 616 but isn't the 616 that's why we haven't got anything about the celestial in the ocean and noticed how how dont see the captain America statue.its these little things that make me think we're seeing multiple realities and think it's all the 616 but every movie could be a different reality and that's why everything is all over the place and it'll all make sense in the end. Thoughts?????

That goes on in other projects as well. WandaVision introduced several ideas that I wonder if they will follow through in. Agatha says that Wanda is destined to destroy the world. MoM follows up with the prophecy that she is destined to either rule or destroy the cosmos. Will that be followed up? WandaVision also hints at Wanda being a nexus being. Will that be followed up? In Love and Thunder, Jane seems to feel that Thor is losing his battle with Gorr.

I think this is a good sign that Marvel is headed in the right direction. But now it’s a matter of rebuilding their damaged reputation from these last few years. Intrigued for the future though! Cautious, but intrigued.

I hope Marvel keeps the momentum going even after Deadpool and wolverine movie is a hit. I haven’t given up on Marvel and probably never will cause I grew up on the cartoons and comics before marvel studios inception

The comics, cartoons, movies (prior to Feige taking over Marvel Studios), live action shows also prior to Feige taking over Marvel Studios), manga, and video games are all that Marvel fans have left. What I’m trying to say is that all they have left to enjoy is the old stuff, just like with Star Wars fans with Star Wars Legends content, the first 6 Star Wars Movies, TCW, Rebels, Andor, Rogue One, Solo, and the first 2 seasons of The Mandalorian.

I just really hope Elizabeth returns as the scarlet with, she’s so badass.

Tbh I think the best route for Marvel to go is fewer movies and shows per year, less stress on the VFX workers, connecting the projects so it feels like one big overarching story, and focusing more on characters people are really invested in like Scarlet Witch and Loki. Also trusting the creative process to the writers and directors rather than having executives and producers change the story to make it more marketable.

They did trust some of the Directors, that's part of the problem..Remember The M-SHE-U? The Marvel's Director did a piss poor job. The Eternals was a dumpster fire, Chloe Zahn writer and director. She Hulk? The problem is the Directors too, let's not forget the most recent star wars trash.

They didn't hire the right team for she hulk tbh, I don't believe they knew how to write the law part....lol, of the show. Some parts were ok but others could've been ten times better.

I had to recheck when this video came out because I have been hearing "Marvel and Disney get it now" for several years. They should have delved into current characters and expanded their universes.

So, as far as this Sony situation goes, I think Marvel & and the Sony universe should be combined and have those Sony characters be used under marvel writing. Let Sony get a majority of the profits because they own the characters but Marvel uses them how they want. Favorite Hero: Batman

There was never super hero fatigue, fans would go every month to a new movie if they could. It was the bad story writing and the need to be pandering for the sake of pandering. They lost touch with the majority of the consumer. They just need to get back to the basics of phases 1-3. good, mostly accurate, fun, comic book storytelling. We want to escape the world problems and be entertained for a few hours, not be bottled down with "real" world politics topped with bad writing.

Really hoping we can get back to those days we all were excited for each new movie and for the future of the franchise

Dude you for real explained it best honestly, the news that they see now what’s going on and how there shows really didn’t jump high rates like they expected them too on Disney +( also as I) expected them two is great news. I love that marvel and Disney are putting the ego aside , let’s see what they have next in line for us fans !

The real problem is the writers go too far away from the source: comics. The phase one MCU movies were successful because they stayed close to the essence of the comic book characters. Once they got successful they took too many liberties with the essence of the character.

Shang chi was 1 of the most action packed movies in marvel history. As I said before though most movies really weren't that bad. I agree there were some really bad ones like Thor love and thunder. When it comes to the abundance of female actors though I just might agree on that one.

It’s not that marvel lost touch with the fans. They hired writers who disregarded fan input and did what they thought was necessary, rather than following the similar structure for a saga. Aaand!…. Scrap the unnecessary project to conserve funds for the larger budget films like SECRET WARS!

I have an idea bring back the Russo Bros and give them 100% creative control over the over lining story.

Like this wasn’t hard to understand at all. They just got big headed and it cost them.

My issue comes from the fact that I want to know WHO decides what gets cut. If this is coming from the creatives themselves, where they just might not feel comfortable with the way something might turn out, then sure, but if this is Iger? In my opinion, that is the worst person to decide these things. If it was up to him, we would likely just see Avengers and X-Men, the cash cow franchises only, and that's it. There's so many amazing stories that could be told, but every single creative is getting squeezed CONSTANTLY with the development pipeline they have.

I think a lot has to do with every MCU movie being held against Infinity War and Endgame now. I agree that some movies have just been bad stories, but not all. As fans we need to push the Infinity saga from our minds a little and realise that these new phases are also building up a story arc. Will it reach past levels? Only time will tell, but I think Deadpool 3 will be a massive step in the right direction
