I agree whole heartedly. Was kind of expecting a different backstory, but was pleasantly surprised by the story, AND guest synth. *SPOILER ALERT* I did the best I could impersonating Sir Ian Holm, I respect him so much and wanted to do his "character" justice to his performance.

So I'm going to be honest. I think marvel is doing a great job with the alien series and it's really gotten my attention and you have done a fantastic job doing audio and bringing these to life. Please continue to keep up the good work as someone who works night shift as a paramedic, I enjoy watching and listening to your audio comics at night

Pause at 2:15 So they're telling me, that even I the far future where they have a powerful enough rail/coil gun, careless explosive 10mm ammunition, smart targeting GPMG/SAW, they are still using the M249 WITH an LCAN from the late 90s no less. The comic writers have to know we have been trial running and just finished the NGSW program as a reference lmao. For those that don't know, the weapons in the Alien(s) movies are extremely practical and infact have been recreated to some extent in real life, but if we're just talking about the movies and periphery than yeah. The SMART gun is actually based off the MG3/MG42 platform but chambered in 7.62x51 NATO which at the time of the "Aliens" title a lot were being sold or re-tooled for NATO use by the German Bundeswher and a few were circulating the US Market that could only be bought by other Form 7 SOT FFLs like those in Hollywood after the 1986 full-auto ban under Reagan. The same goes for the M41 and M41A Pulse Rifle, which is actually based on the (iirc) M1928A1n hence the charging handle being on the side and not top. The under-slung "25mm" is loosely based of the SPAS-12 shotgun platform, even though technically the size of the mention used for production is actually 12.7mm or "12 Gauge". Sorry, I am a gun nut, and a gun nut for stuff from fiction that could be practical.

Wowza, thats EXTREMELY informative. Lolol, and yeah, idk that much about force multipliers, other than how to use them safely and maintenance. I'm sure it's just the artists drawing a weapon from still image or preference, but it's impressive you noticed that on a 2 second image, lmao! I remember watching the "making of" Aliens and the custom firearms they made were so fuggin cool, blew my mind. And they functioned!

@@adeadguy Oh yeah, and sorry for spelling and syntax. YT doesnt like certain words. "Careless" is supposed to be "caseless" and M1928A1 is the military designation for that pattern of the Thompson open-bolt submachine gun, the M41 is basically that mechanically; except its closed-bolt. Once you understand them on a mechanics and basic construction basis it's truly fascinating the amount of work that went in to them in less than 120 or so years. That's why I am always fascinated by the tech-level of my favourite sci-fi and sci-fantasy franchises and love it when Ballistic Engineers and people in the industry do detailed breakdowns of them in lore as applied to real life.
