They're called DRL's...Daytime Running Lamps. They will always remain on if the engine is on. No way to switch it off.

3:40 you can see the brightness slider by swiping down once more. that is the notification and quick settings screen.

May I just say that there is absolutely no comparison for the 2 cars. The XUV is a full-on hardcore 7-str SUV, while the XL6 is an MPV at half the price. But if budget is not a problem, probably go for XUV.
