Marty Smith 2-Stroke Time Machines - ROUGH CUT

Спорт

THIS VIDEO FEATURING MARTY SMITH IS A ROUGH CUT/SIZZLE REEL. It was only intended to be viewed by TV executives but due to Marty’s untimely death, we at Loccamore Productions decided to share it with the public.
Motocross legend Marty Smith flawlessly plays his part in this premiere rough cut of "2-Stroke Time Machines," enthusiastically "testing" a replica of his 1975 RC-1 Honda. Because Marty was the first superstar of motocross, he was the obvious choice for our first episode.
Imagine meeting your high school girlfriend again but she hasn't aged a day. Scott Stevens builds iconic replica "works" motocross bikes of the 1970s and 80s, then reunites them with their superstar riders. He's considered one of the top vintage motocross builders in the United States, winning the "people's choice" award at the Nesco Dirt Works four times in a row. Scott's masterpieces are featured in museums throughout the US.
Former racer and show host Andrew Stack oversees the builds while trying not to steal the bikes. From humble beginnings as a motocross racer in the late 1970s, Stack detoured into a television career filled with adrenaline of a different sort. He went on to become the first war correspondent to win an Emmy Award working alone. In Iraq, Stack covered the second Battle of Fallujah and routinely ventured into the “triangle of death.” His series, "Stack in Iraq" won three regional Emmy Awards. His footage was featured in the acclaimed PBS documentary, “Operation Homecoming” which went on to win two national Emmy Awards and an Oscar Nomination.
We were left in shock by the sudden and tragic loss of Marty Smith and his wife, Nancy who died in a dune buggy rollover at the Imperial Sand Dunes on April 27th. Marty was a 3-time national champion in the 125cc and Open classes as well as a hall of fame motocross legend. In addition to being a world class racer, Marty was loved by virtually everyone who met him. His sense of humor was legendary and it was hard to find a person on or off the track who didn't like him.

So true about the sound of those two strokes sticking with you. I raced CMC and AMA in CA on 250's and 500's. Loved it! RIP Marty and Nancy...
