Hingis was always on or inside the baseline. Took time away from opponents without having to bash the ball.

If Martina Hingis peaked in the 80s or early 90s, i feel she would have been among the all time greats. She played in the wrong era, even though she won a lot. I feel Radwanska would have also thrived in the early 90s

Conchita was too fatigued after a long three set match against Likhovsteva to play a better match that day against Hingis
This was the final, not the SF. Conchita played a great tournament beating Davenport in semifinals but Hingis was just too good, specially in Australia where she won 3 titles in a row and reached 3 other finals.
